The richness of a destination, its culture, its heritage is often revealed through its cuisine. That’s why Trafalgar goes to great lengths to give you culinary experiences with our Highlight and Farewell dinners, intriguing Local Specialities programs and our exclusive “Be My Guest” dining opportunities in authentic family homes, farms and chateaux.
On every tour you will enjoy breakfast daily with a mix of hot/cold buffets or cooked breakfasts. Lunches are generally not included so that you have the flexibility to choose whatever takes your fancy. Your Tour Director will also be on hand to point out the best eateries that only locals know about. Around 50% of all dinners are also included which will give you a real taste of your destination, with the opportunity to experience more, with recommendations from your Tour Director.
Be My Guest
Trafalgar now offers Be My Guest dining experiences on selected tours in Europe, North America, and South America. With Be My Guest, you'll be invited into family homes or to unique dining venues for a real taste, not only of delicious food, but of local culture. Read more
Local Specialities
In Europe, Trafalgar's Local Specialities bring traditions to life, with chances to watch artisans ply their craft and learn about the history of their trade. You'll sample local wines, enjoy hot Swiss cheese fondue, and enjoy olive oil tastings. Your palate won't be the only thing to appreciate Trafalgar's approach to travel; your hunger for knowledge will be satisfied as well.
