    ROME SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

    Your sightseeing with a Local Guide begins at the Vatican Museums. Experience a Unique Insight when you ascend the smooth and step-less spiral staircase designed by famous architect Donato Bramante. Admire Michelangelo’s magnificent frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel and then visit St. Peter’s Basilica to see his famous Pietà. Visit the Forum and the impressive Colosseum.

  • Day 3

    ROME - POMPEII - SORRENTO (2 NIGHTS)

    Visit the Commonwealth Cemetery near Monte Cassino. In Pompeii, where your Local Guide shows you the famous excavations. Arrive later in Sorrento. Tonight, savour a delicious Be My Guest home-cooked dinner with a family surrounded by lemon groves!

    ISLE OF CAPRI EXCURSION

    See a demonstration of the art of inlaid woodwork in Sorrento. Cruise to the Isle of Capri, and ascend by funicular railway to Capri town. See Capri town and view the Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola during your guided walking tour. Spend the evening relaxing in Sorrento.

    SORRENTO - ASSISI

    Travel to Assisi and visit the Basilica of St. Francis featuring Giotto’s saintly frescoes during your walking tour with a Local Guide. See Santa Maria degli Angeli where St. Francis established the Franciscan fraternity of monks.
