You can take this suggested itinerary on a journey through the ancient, holy and intriguing land of Israel. Highlights include a visit to the mysterious Capernaum, where Jesus was said to have centred his Galilean ministry and perform numerous miracles. Travel to Jordan Park where John the Baptist baptised Jesus in the river Jordan. You’ll be given a deep insight into this blessed land with time in Jerusalem to visit the Room of the Last Supper and even retrace Jesus’ steps from condemnation to crucifixion.

DAY 1: ARRIVE TEL AVIV
Arrive and enjoy some free time before a welcome drink and dinner at the hotel. After dinner there will be an evening tour to see the highlights of Tel Aviv and Old Jaffa.
DAY 2: TEL AVIV - CAESAREA - MEGGIDO - HAIFA - ACRE - TIBERIAS (3 NIGHTS)
Travel north to Caesarea to visit the Excavations, Roman amphitheatre and Herodian port. Continue to Meggido and view King Solomon’s Stable. In Haifa, tour the Bahia Gardens along with Mt Carmel, where it is believed Elijah won a challenge to prove that his was the one true God. Then north to Acre to visit reconstructed Crusader remains.
DAY 3: TIBERIAS - CAPERNAUM - TABGHA - KIBBUTZ NOF GINOSAR
Cross the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. On the way, participate in a special on-board worship service. Visit the synagogue where Jesus taught. Cross the road to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount to a captivated audience of disciples and locals. Continue to Kibbutz Nof Ginosar for a view of the “Jesus Boat”.
DAY 4: TIBERIAS - KURSI - DODEKATHRONON - JORDAN PARK
Travel to Kursi, the New Testament Gergesenes, site of the Miracle of the Gadarene Swine. From there, continue to Dodekathronon, site of the second Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Next is Jordan Park, where John the Baptist baptised Jesus in the River Jordan. Upon our return to Tiberias, we stop to view the ruins of Korazin.
DAY 5: TIBERIAS - NAZARETH - JERICHO - JERUSALEM (3 NIGHTS)
Depart for Kafr Kana, where Jesus performed his first miracle-turning water into wine. Continue to Jesus’ boyhood home of Nazareth, where you can visit the Basilica of the Annunciation.
DAY 6: JERUSALEM
Among the many sights of Old City Jerusalem is the Mount of Olives, where Jesus spent great amounts of time teaching and prophesying to his disciples. Retrace Jesus’ steps from condemnation to crucifixion along the narrow streets of the Via Dolorosa. The journey ends at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a centuries-old church built upon the traditional site of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial. Pay a visit to the Room of the Last Supper, as well as the Garden Tomb, believed to be the actual location of Christ’s burial by many Christian traditions.
DAY 7: JERUSALEM
Today visit the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed, and Yad Vashem, Israel’s poignant memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. In Bethlehem, visit Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity, which enshrines the site where Jesus is said to have been born. Nearby Shepherd’s Field is where the “Good News” was first heard.
DAY 8: DEPART JERUSALEM
Time to bid farewell to your fellow travellers and your Travel Director as your Wonders of the Holy Land trip comes to an end.
