DAY 1: FRIDAY 20TH DECEMBER

ARRIVE IN PARIS

Welcome to Paris! Relax after your journey and look forward to exploring this elegant and glittering capital! This evening, enjoy a drive past some of the illuminated sights of the city and dinner at a local bistro.

DAY 2: SATURDAY 21ST DECEMBER

PARIS SIGHTSEEING

This morning, see famous sights such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe with a local expert. Ascend the Eiffel Tower for breathtaking views over the city.

DAY 3: SUNDAY 22ND DECEMBER

PARIS – BRUSSELS

Leaving Paris we drive through the Belgian countryside to Brussels, have the chance to wander through Brussels’ Christmas market, with over 200 stalls before enjoying dinner in a local restaurant.

DAY 4: MONDAY 23RD DECEMBER

BRUSSELS – HEIDELBERG

Today we head into Germany, stopping in Cologne to visit its Gothic Cathedral. Also stroll through Cologne’s Christmas market to see the local handicrafts, toys, Christmas tree decorations and sample sumptuous delicacies.

DAY 5: TUESDAY 24TH DECEMBER

HEIDELBERG – SWISS ALPS

Drive to medieval Strasbourg, where an orientation tour shows you the Cathedral. The Christmas market of Alsace, located in front of the Cathedral, is the oldest in France. Be sure to visit La Petite France, a cosy neighbourhood of timbered fairy-tale buildings with Christmas shops and a gingerbread bakery.

DAY 6: WEDNESDAY 25TH DECEMBER

SWISS ALPS – CHRISTMAS DAY

Enjoy a trip into a mountain valley this morning so you can see a true white Christmas. Take a ride on a horse and carriage before enjoying a delicious Christmas lunch.

DAY 7: THURSDAY 26TH DECEMBER

SWISS ALPS – INNSBRUCK

After breakfast, cross the Swiss border to the Principality of Liechtenstein for a brief stop at the capital, Vaduz. Then into picturesque Austria, via the Arlberg Pass to the city of Innsbruck.

DAY 8: FRIDAY 27TH DECEMBER

INNSBRUCK – SALZBURG – VIENNA

You’re off to Salzburg this morning, where spires and domes are overlooked by the fortress of Hohensalzburg. On arrival, a guided walking tour explores the delightful city that featured in “The Sound of Music” and which is best known as Mozart’s birthplace.

DAY 9: SATURDAY 28TH DECEMBER

VIENNA SIGHTSEEING

See the highlights of Austria’s elegant capital, Vienna. From the Opera to the Imperial Boulevards, the Hofburg to Belvedere Palace, its charming precision is more than musical! This afternoon is at leisure to further experience the grandeur of this magical city.

DAY 10: SUNDAY 29TH DECEMBER

VIENNA – VENICE

This morning enjoy vistas of ancient castles, mountains and lakes driving via the Austrian Lake District to the Carinthian town of Klagenfurt. Cross the Italian border and head towards one of Europe’s most romantic destinations – the floating city of Venice.

DAY 11: MONDAY 30TH DECEMBER

VENICE SIGHTSEEING

All around us are reminders of Venetian medieval maritime power and wealth as you cruise along the criss-crossing canals. Enjoy a demonstration of glass blowing in one of the oldest Murano workshops, before sailing to the colourful island of Burano, for a delicious seafood lunch.

DAY 12: TUESDAY 31ST DECEMBER

VENICE – ROME

Cross the fertile Po Valley via Bologna and over the Apennine Mountains. Later, on to Rome where you will have time to dress up before your Gala New Year’s Eve dinner.

DAY 13: WEDNESDAY 1ST JANUARY

ROME AT LEISURE

This morning after breakfast you will enjoy a full day at leisure.

DAY 14: THURSDAY 2ND JANUARY

ROME SIGHTSEEING

After a relaxing start to the day, we enjoy an orientation tour of the ‘Eternal City’. Highlights of the guided tour include St Peter’s Basilica, the Forum and the Colosseum. This evening we enjoy a Farewell Dinner.

DAY 15: FRIDAY 3RD JANUARY

DEPART ROME

This morning after breakfast it is time to bid farewell to your Travel Director and newfound friends.
