On every itinerary, we offer a range of optional excursions that allow you to further enhance your experience should you so choose. These are purchased when you are on your trip, via your Trafalgar Travel Director. Depending on the region visited these can be paid with cash or credit card.

  • PLYMOUTH

    • + PLYMOUTH HARBOUR CRUISE A boat trip round the harbour of one of England's most famous seaports. View the Mayflower steps, where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America, and ships sailed for Australia, New Zealand and Newfoundland. See panoramic vistas of Plymouth Hoe, site of Drake's legendary game of bowls. Into the Royal Navy Dockyard and a chance to see some of the modern vessels of the Royal Navy. A commentary is given by the skipper.

  • STRATFORD

    • + VISIT TO THE ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY AND DINNER Take a private front-of-house tour of the famous Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, followed by an opportunity to visit the Viewing Tower for a scenic surprise. Later, dine in the theatre restaurant, with a drink, in the company of your traveling companions and Travel Director.

  • WINDERMERE

    • + WINDERMERE CRUISE AND STEAM TRAIN RIDE A chance to view the glorious scenery of the lake district as we cruise across England's largest lake. Then step back in time as we board the steam train for a short journey from Lakeside to Haverthwaite.

    • + PRIVATE CRUISE ON LAKE WINDERMERE Enjoy an exclusive cruise on a private boat on England's most beautiful lake taking in the northern coastline, many beautiful houses and gardens and Wray Castle. We also see deserted islands, boats, birdlife and have a chance to breath in the local air and appreciate the area so loved by Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. A photographers' paradise.
