  • Description: This spotlight on Europe has one foot in the past, from sinking Venice to Rome's ancient Colosseum, and the other firmly in the future – with a trip to revolutionary CERN in Switzerland. It's Insider moments like… being in the company of the planet's leading scientists at CERN – the world's most famous physics laboratory. It's knowing these white-coated physicists are tasked with answering the age-old question: 'how did life begin?' And then it's heading to Rome to see how the Vatican City answers the same question in a very different way. From the futuristic to the traditional, it's experiencing the eternal battle between science and religion first hand – and hearing our local friend in Rome share their perspective.
