    Overnight flight to Rome.

  • Day 2


    Welcome to Rome, the Eternal City! Relax after your journey or take a leisurely stroll through ancient streets. This evening, join your Travel Director and travelling companions for a Welcome Reception and evening orientation drive to see St. Peter’s Basilica. This is the perfect introduction to the sights which await you!

  • Day 3


    View the Forum during your sightseeing tour with a Local Guide. Visit the mighty Colosseum, site of public events, and see the Circus Maximus. Spend the rest of the day seeing the sights of your choice. Shop for souvenirs or relax and watch the world go by.

  • Day 4


    Your included sightseeing tour with a Local Guide begins at the Vatican Museums. Experience a Unique Insight in the Vatican when you ascend the smooth and step-less spiral staircase designed by famous architect Donato Bramante. Admire Michelangelo’s magnificent frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel and then visit St. Peter’s Basilica to see his famous Pietà. Follow the valley of the River Tiber north into Umbria and pass the impressive hilltop towns of Orte and Orvieto. Through Tuscan landscapes and terraced olive groves, over the Apennine hills, past Bologna and the across Veneto plains you arrive at your hotel in Venice. Enjoy dining at your hotel this evening.

  • Day 5


    Savour the sights and sounds of this floating Byzantine city on your included canal cruise by private launch to St. Mark’s Square. View the Bridge of Sighs and the ornate Doge’s Palace. Visit a glass-blowing workshop, with free time afterwards to explore on your own. Later, travel to the Italian Lake District where you dine tonight.

  • Day 6


    Enjoy stunning views of Lake Garda this morning. Perhaps take the opportunity to join a boat ride across its waters before continuing your journey to Florence. This evening, enjoy a memorable Be My Guest dining experience in a Tuscan villa situated on an organic olive-oil estate overlooking Florence and the Tuscan hills.

    In Florence, the city’s rich medieval and Renaissance history is brought to life by your Local Guide. See Piazza Signoria, with its impressive sculptures and imposing palazzi. View the multi-coloured marble Duomo and the famous Baptistery with its bronze doors. View the Ponte Vecchio, a spectacular feat of engineering dating from the Middle Ages. Travelling south, the Tuscan landscape − characterised by rolling hills and picturesque olive groves − is breath-taking. Through Umbria’s shady valleys with olive and cypress trees you reach the valley of the Tiber River, which leads you back to Rome. Spend leisure time relaxing or exploring.

    After breakfast say ‘arrivederci’ to Rome and your traveling companions as you return home with wonderful memories of Italy. Transfers are available. Conditions apply.
