    SIEM REAP – BANGKOK (2 NIGHTS)

    After breakfast, head to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, transfer to your centrally located hotel where you can enjoy the evening at leisure. Relax or choose an optional dinner cruise on the historic Chao Phraya river aboard a beautifully restored rice barge.

  • Day 2

    BANGKOK SIGHTSEEING

    Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city today and see three of the most prominent temples in Bangkok: Wat Trimitr with its Golden Buddha; Wat Pho and its colossal Reclining Buddha and Chedis of the Kings; and the Grand Palace, the seat of the King, his court and the entire government administration. The palace served as the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th to the mid-20th century. The most famous building on the palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple (wat) in Thailand. The afternoon is free for you to relax at your hotel. As your trip draws to an end this evening, enjoy an optional Thai cultural performance – the famous Siam Niramit.

Day 1: Cruise the Chao Phraya River 
Among the best ways to explore Bangkok is by boat. A cruise along the Chao Phraya River and the canals of Thonburi reveal scenes at odds with the bustling, modern inner city. This picturesque view is what earned Bangkok the title of "Venice of the East." Day 2 Evening dinner cruise on the Manohra
Experience Bangkok at its best by cruising the historic Chao Phraya River. You’ll sail aboard the 50-year-old and beautifully restored ‘Manohra’ or ‘Manohra Moon’ rice barges, which were completely re-built for dining and cocktail cruising. Seating is set for 40 guests only to ensure an intimate experience. Price: 95US$ (minimum of two to three people)

Day 2: Jim Thompson’s House, Bangkok 
One of the best examples of Thai residential architecture was built by an American national. Jim Thompson’s House in Bangkok houses a collection of south-east Asian art, including Buddha images, paintings, ceramics and antique furniture. Thompson was born in Delaware in 1906 and fell in love with Thailand while working as an intelligence agent during WWII. The living areas have been preserved as they were when Thompson lived there, before his mysterious disappearance in Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands while on holiday in 1967. You can pick up quality silk items, books and prints from a shop just outside. Price: 37US$ (minimum of two to three people)

Day 2 Evening Siam Niramit Cultural Show including dinner 
Travel back through time into the history and culture of the Kingdom of Siam, and be stunned by the diverse cultures that become the roots of the distinctive Thai ways of life. Experience local life at a Thai village where the unique architecture, music and costumes are revived. And not only can you see how Thailand’s delicate and ornate handicrafts are being made, you try to create them yourselves!
