    ARRIVE MADRID

    Welcome to Madrid, the Spanish capital. Unwind after your journey or take some time to explore this lively, dynamic city. Later, meet for a Welcome Reception with your fellow travellers and Travel Director and enjoy an evening drive to take in some of the city’s main sights.

    MADRID - TOLEDO - GRANADA

    Your Local Guide takes you on a walking tour of Toledo. Visit the Church of Santo Tomé, home to one of El Greco’s most famous paintings – The Burial of Count Orgaz. Visit the Synagogue during your guided walk through the narrow streets. Your journey continues through the wine producing centre of Valdepeñas and across La Mancha, where your Travel Director tells the tale of Don Quixote. Finish the day with an enjoyable dinner at your hotel.

    GRANADA - SEVILLE

    Your Local Guide takes you on a tour of the most famous monument in Granada and Spain’s finest example of Moorish architecture – the Alhambra Palace. An enormous fortress occupying a hilly terrace on the south-eastern border of the city; the ornate palace and exotic water gardens of the Generalife – the Moors’ royal summer residence – are a joy to behold. Marvel at uninterrupted views across the town and hills beyond. This afternoon drive to the city of Seville, famous for Flamenco and Bullfighting.This evening, experience a Be My Guest Dinner at an authentic Spanish ranch with views over the Andalusian countryside.

    This morning enjoy a city tour of Seville with your Local Guide. Visit the Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. View the Giralda Bell Tower. In your free time, why not explore the vast cathedral or join an excursion to the Alcazar. This afternoon, cross the border to the Algarve coastal region of Portugal. Relax this evening or consider joining your companions for dinner at a typical Portuguese restaurant.

    ALGARVE - LISBON (2 NIGHTS)

    After a leisurely morning wondering through the harbour, relaxing at the hotel, or enjoying the local beach, you head north over the Serra de Arrabida mountains to Lisbon.This amazing city on the banks of the Tagus is renowned for tiny patio restaurants known as fadistas, where you can dine on local specialties while listening to the sounds of haunting fado melodies.

    LISBON SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

    See Lisbon’s landmarks, including the Monument to the Discoveries, the suspension bridge spanning the River Tagus, the Belém Tower and the quaint Alfama district. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Hieronymite Monastery during your sightseeing tour with a Local Guide. Later, in your free time, perhaps join an optional excursion to the historic towns of Cascais and Sintra.

    LISBON - FATIMA - SALAMANCA

    A short drive through the Serra d’Aire Mountains brings you to Fatima.Visit the Shrine, a scene of celebrated religious miracles. Cross the border back into Spain to visit Salamanca, home of the country’s oldest universities. Dine tonight at your hotel.

Tonight, join your Travel Director and travel companions for a Farewell Dinner with wine.
