    Depart from your home gateway city, bound for Bangkok.

  • Day 2


    Welcome to Bangkok! Transfer to your centrally located hotel in Bangkok and relax before meeting your Travel Director at 5 p.m. for Welcome Reception of regional appetizers and a local drink.

  • Day 3


    For the early risers, begin today with a visit to the Limpini Park, Bangkok's first public park and a gift from King Rama VI to his people in 1925. Often called "the lung of the city," the park occupies 140 acres in the main business district. Join the locals in participating in the Local Speciality of Tai Chi and walk through the park to watch the various activities taking place in the morning. Or enjoy a leisurely start to the day before departing on your city tour to Bangkok's most well known fruit and flower market, Pak Klong Talad. Continue by local Tuk Tuk to Wat Pho, Bangkok's oldest temple which features the largest reclining Buddha image in Thailand. Wat Pho is also famous as Thailand's first University, and is centre for traditional Thai massage. Enjoy a Thai massage as a Local Speciality in the grounds of the temple. Ferry across to the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) and its impressive ceramic covered Pagoda. Tonight enjoy dinner before the famous Siam Niramit cultural show.

  • Day 4


    Visit the floating market, Damnoen Saduak, in the early morning before the crowds arrive. Return to Bangkok for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Grand Palace which served as the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th to the mid-20th century. The most famous building on the palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. Tonight  you  are free to relax at your centrally located hotel or enjoy an optional dinner cruise on the historic Chao Phraya river aboard the beautifully restored 50-year-old rice barge.

  • Day 5


    Depart for Kanchanaburi, stopping at a tapioca or sugar cane farm (only in season) for a Unique Insight and learn about the cultivation process of these agricultural products. Continue on to the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum and War Cemetery, the final resting place for over 6,000 allied prisoners of war before reaching the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai. After lunch at a local restaurant, board the local train, a Unique Insight, for a thrilling ride across wooden viaducts offering fantastic scenery along the Kwai River. Transfer to the tranquility of your resort hotel for the rest of the day at leisure.

  • Day 6


    Head back to Bangkok for your flight to Chiang Rai. The afternoon and evening is at leisure for you to enjoy the luxurious facilities of your hotel.

  • Day 7


    Today drive to Chiang Saen, the former capital of the first Thai Lanna Kingdom, situated on the Mekong River on the border between Thailand and Laos. Transfer to a long-tailed boat and cruise along the Mekong River towards the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge. Take time to stop in the Laos - Don Sao Island Markets, which have an abundance of local handicrafts. After lunch at a local restaurant visit The Hall of Opium, situated in the heart of the Golden Triangle providing an excellent Unique Insight into the opium trade so prevalent in this area over the past century. Later return to Chiang Rai for an evening at leisure and dinner at your hotel.

  • Day 8


    Depart early in the morning for Chiang Mai with a brief photo stop at the entirely white temple of Wat Rong Khun. Arrive in to Chiang Mai, which has a rich cultural and agricultural heritage, and is famous for the production of high-quality handicrafts. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the handicraft villages in Sankampheng just outside the city. Continue to Wat Doi Suthep, tucked away in the mountains at 1000 metres. Transfer to your luxurious hotel in Chiang Mai.

  • Day 9


    This morning visit Queen Sirikit’s Botanic Garden and Orchid farm, a Unique Insight, covering an area of 560 acres. The botanic garden was established in 1992 in order to gather, conserve and strengthen the study and research on Thai plants and herbs. Another Unique Insight, the Long-necked Karen Hill Tribe, awaits at Baan Tong Luang, a fabricated village containing four separate Thai Hill Tribes. This afternoon is at leisure or opt to participate in a Thai cooking class with a local chef where you’ll dine on your culinary creations.

  • Day 10


    Enjoy an optional early morning visit to a nearby temple before traveling to Ban Mae Kampong village where you’ll meet the chief who tells you about the culture and way of life of these remote settlements. Experience warm Northern Thai hospitality when visiting a homestay for your Be My Guest lunch. After lunch, take a village tour, observing Local Specialities such as making bamboo furniture and handicrafts. Visit tea and coffee plantations, and Mae Kampong waterfall. Observe the village’s way of life at a local school and temple. Transfer back to your hotel for a restful evening.

  • Day 11


    Visit Chiang Dao, which literally means "the City of Stars," famous for its Elephant Camp. After driving along picturesque routes, arrive at the camp in time to watch the elephants taking their morning bath. You have the option to take an elephant ride through some of the lovely forest scenery and along the river. Return to Chiang Mai for lunch at local restaurant before continuing to the city's largest market - Talad Wararot and the cities two most important temples: Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Sing. This evening, enjoy a  traditional Kantoke Farewell Dinner and presentation of Northern Dances.
