Destination guide: Prague

If the Astronomic Clock in the city’s Old Town could talk, it would probably tell you that Prague is still as beautiful today as it was in the 15th century. The Czech capital is wonderfully preserved, having largely avoided damage from bombers in World War II. Prague’s many architectural and cultural pleasures  stand as a reminder of the robust, but at the same time delicate, precious and stunning nature of this city.

Prague is brimful with gawk-worthy buildings (including the majestic Prague Castle), the city’s calendar is crammed with events and music festivals, and the burgeoning gastronomy scene offers a wide range of international and ethnic dining options. Find paintings and Bohemian crystals in the stalls along the Charles Bridge, take a ride in an elegant horse-drawn carriage or perhaps sit down to an inexpensive lager in one of the jovial beerhouses. Romantic Prague has never been more enchanting.
