  • Description: Our new north Spain trip showcases the ultra-modern urban treats of Bilbao, like the landmark Guggenheim museum, and rural spots, like Covadonga and the Picos de Europa national park. It's Insider moments like… staying the night in a real Renaissance palace, where Napoleon's troops once rested before they attacked nearby Vitoria. Stepping into the grand sandstone structure, you see it has been polished into a modern retreat but still feel the history in its wooden floors and hamlet setting. In Oviedo, it's in the icy cider your Travel Director hands to you as you relax together in a bar. Sipping the cool nectar, they share the town's love of the drink – a passion obvious from its many 'sidrerias', or cider houses.
