    LONDON – STONEHENGE – BATH – BRISTOL

    Visit the historic stone monoliths at Stonehenge where pagans once worshiped before stopping in the Georgian town of Bath. Visit the Roman baths from which the city derives its name. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Reception with a traditional pub meal. It's the ideal opportunity to get to know your Travel Director and fellow travellers.

  • Day 2

    BRISTOL – WEDGWOOD – CHESTER

    Visit the Wedgwood Visitor Centre for a Local Speciality demonstration and learn about the manufacture of porcelain in the region known as the potteries. See the medieval city walls at Chester and admire the Tudor architecture and the galleried shops known as the Rows. In your free time, explore the city and perhaps treat yourself to a traditional English Cream Tea, or join an optional experience through the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to visit the Welsh town of Llangollen, home to the famous music Eisteddfod.

  • Day 3

    CHESTER – GRASMERE – GRETNA GREEN – EDINBURGH (2 NIGHTS)

    Admire the views throughout the scenic Lake District. These scenes provided William Wordsworth with the inspiration to write the poem 'Daffodils'. Visit the town of Grasmere to see St. Oswald's church where the poet is buried. Stop at Gretna Green across the Scottish border, a town popular with eloping couples. Here the marriage ceremony was traditionally performed across a blacksmith's anvil. Then travel to the historic capital, Edinburgh, your home for the next two nights.

    EDINBURGH SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

    This morning, discover the elegance of the city with your Local Expert on your included city sightseeing tour. See the Royal Mile in the Old Town. View the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Arthur's Seat. Your guided visit inside Edinburgh Castle is informative and engaging. Spend free time exploring on your own or join your Travel Director on an optional experience to the Royal Yacht Britannia. Tonight, why not attend a lively Scottish banquet with traditional haggis and bagpipes?

  • Day 5

    EDINBURGH – ALNWICK – YORK

    Visit the medieval market town of Alnwick. View the castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland, and recently featured as Hogwarts in a number of Harry Potter films and also in the movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Cross the River Tyne and continue to the Roman city of York. See York Minster and walk along the famous Shambles. Tonight enjoy a Be My Guest Farewell Dinner at a country home. Meet the family and learn the history of the house before enjoying a hearty home cooked meal.

    YORK – STRATFORD-UPON-AVON – LONDON

    Visit Shakespeare's birthplace and Visitor Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon and see Anne Hathaway's thatched cottage. Later, arrive back into London where your memorable holiday comes to an end.
