  • Day 1

    ARRIVE VANCOUVER

    Welcome to Vancouver, Canada’s third largest city and the jewel of British Columbia. Winter is a very special time of year to visit Canada when the always-beautiful landscapes transform into a snow-covered wonderland where travellers can experience a variety of activities not available during the summer months. After checking in at the hotel, relax or begin to explore this cosmopolitan city on your own. At 6 p.m., join your Travel Director and fellow travellers at the hotel for a Welcome Reception.

  • Day 2

    VANCOUVER SIGHTSEEING - THE CANADIAN

    Travel to a local ice rink for a Unique Insight into Ice Curling, a distinctively Canadian sport similar to shuffleboard, but on ice! Next, enjoy a Local Speciality during a culinary tour of the Granville Market complete with tastings and a guide who will explain the market’s history and impact on the Vancouver food scene. This afternoon, see the totems at Stanley Park and visit Gastown and Chinatown before gathering with your new friends for dinner at a local restaurant. This evening, board The Canadian train for an overnight trip through the interior of British Columbia on your way to stunning Jasper National Park.

  • Day 3

    THE CANADIAN - JASPER (2 NIGHTS)

    Enjoy your private, comfortable compartment and all of the amenities on board today. Delight in panoramic views from the glass-dome ceiling in the Skyline Car of the passing landscape experiencing all the natural glory of Canada: snowcapped mountains, pristine lakes, sparkling rivers and endless evergreen forests. Upon arrival in Jasper, transfer to your grand hotel ideally located with the incredible mountains as the backdrop. Enjoy beautifully-appointed guestrooms complete with charming amenities that create a homelike atmosphere complimented with excellent service that is quintessentially Fairmont. After getting settled in, enjoy an evening treat of s’mores and spirited refreshments around a bonfire.

    JASPER NATIONAL PARK SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

    Enjoy a presentation by a Local Expert about Jasper’s wildlife before embarking on an ice walk through Maligne Canyon. The afternoon is yours to continue your exploration as you please before gathering at the hotel for dinner where you will learn about a local favourite as the chef demonstrates the making of the Beaver Tail pastry. After satisfying your appetite, embark on a guided stargazing tour (weather permitting) to discover why Jasper is designated as the world’s largest Dark Sky Preserve.

  • Day 5

    JASPER - BANFF (2 NIGHTS)

    The Icefields Parkway between Jasper and Banff is one of the most magnificent mountain drives in the world, made even more impressive during the winter months when the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies are overrun with glistening snow. Relax during a leisurely drive down to the quaint town of Banff. Check into your hotel, the stately Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, and partake in a heritage tour of the magnificent property. After dinner, learn about the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police during a “Meet a Mountie” Local Expert presentation.

    BANFF SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

    Continue your exploration of Banff today with an unforgettable winter sleigh ride through the park before embarking on a gondola ride for a bird’s-eye view of six snowcapped mountain ranges. The rest of the day is yours to continue trekking the park or take advantage of the countless amenities at your resort, a National Historic Site of Canada. Often called “The Castle in the Rockies,” the hotel has been welcoming guests for over 125 years and offers a variety of activities including a world-class spa, 12 restaurants and lounges, shopping, and a bowling centre. If you want to get out on the town tonight, choose to join an optional excursion for a dinner and a show.

  • Day 7

    BANFF - LAKE LOUISE

    A once-in-a-lifetime experience awaits today as you learn all about and partake in dog sledding. Say "Mush!" as you guide your team of huskies along a specially groomed trail as they skillfully glide over the snow-covered ground. After, savour a hot chocolate around a roaring fire while you trade tales of your adventure. Head to Lake Louise this afternoon and upon arrival indulge in your choice of a guided Heritage Lake Shore Walk or Ice Skating before checking into your hotel. Enjoy a Highlight Dinner with drinks this evening during a special fondue experience and presentation before ending the night with a snow shoe walk.

    Bid farewell to Lake Louise and take to the road for a scenic drive to Kelowna. After arriving at your hotel, delight in a wine pairing with hors d’oeuvres and learn about ice wine and other local vintages of British Columbia during a Local Expert presentation by the hotel’s sommelier.

    VICTORIA SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

    The morning is yours to relax and take in the atmosphere before an exciting excursion to Butterfly Gardens, a vast enclosure of tropical colour and aromas, home to more than 3,000 butterflies. Then, it’s on to beautiful Butchart Gardens. Your day ends with a Farewell Dinner at a family-owned winery with a delectable meal expertly paired with local vintages.

  • Day 11

    VICTORIA - DEPART VANCOUVER

    Head back to the mainland and take your complimentary transfer to Vancouver International Airport or to the holiday hotel downtown for guests extending their stay. Please do not schedule flights before 2 p.m.
