  • Day 1


    On arrival at Sydney Airport you are transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey or to take a wander through the streets of this exciting city.

  • Day 2


    Departing Sydney you’ll begin your journey to the nation’s capital via the Southern Highlands with a stop at historic Berrima, famous for its gaol and a visit to a working sheep farm, where you’ll get a taste of farm life from a Local Expert, including a Welcome Reception and an Aussie barbecue lunch. On arrival in Canberra, you’ll tour through Parliament House with a Local Expert and visit the Australian War Memorial before dinner this evening with your Travel Director and fellow travellers.

  • Day 3


    Cooma and the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme start your day. You’ll be awestruck by the stunningly picturesque Kosciuszko National Park – home to mobs of kangaroos – as you travel the Alpine Way, over the mighty Murray River into Victoria and beautiful Beechworth, Victoria’s best preserved gold rush town, for your unique overnight stay in one of the Bed and Breakfast properties, your Authentic Accommodation.

  • Day 4


    Get to know Beechworth with an orientation and some free time to explore the legendary Beechworth Bakery as well as antique shops, galleries and the museum. Later it’s on through Glenrowan and Ned Kelly country to culturally diverse and cosmopolitan Melbourne for a city sights orientation tour on arrival. This evening, perhaps take a relaxing walk down to Southbank for a stroll along the Yarra River.

  • Day 5


    Today Melbourne is all yours to explore. You'll have time to discover some of the secrets of this city - a myriad of cafés, galleries, museums, markets, restaurants, laneways and parks await you. Or if you want to get out of town you can take a trip to Phillip Island's Little Penguins, the Yarra Valley wineries, the Dandenongs and Puffing Billy or Sovereign Hill's goldmine.

  • Day 6


    Hold on to your seats today for one of the world’s great road trips – the Great Ocean Road. You’ll get plenty of photo opportunities along this gorgeous coastal road and a visit to the amazing Twelve Apostles, before finishing the day in the whale watching capital of Warrnambool.

  • Day 7


    This morning visit Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill State Game Reserve. The area was a rich food source for the Koroitgundidj people whose descendants retain links with this country. A Local Guide will provide you with a Unique Insight into flora, wildlife, volcanic formations, bush existence and medicinal practices from an Aboriginal perspective. Continue across the South Australia border into Mt. Gambier to visit the Blue Lake then travel on to Adelaide, the gorgeous 'City of Churches'.

  • Day 8


    This highlight day starts with a sightseeing tour of Adelaide city. Then journey north for a Local Speciality, a visit to Australia's best-known wine-producing region, the Barossa Valley. You’ll stop at the small town of Tanunda on your way to Jacob’s Creek winery. Here you’ll learn about what goes into making great wines on a walking tour with wine tastings. Your host will provide an overview of the 14 different grape varieties grown in the vineyard that are featured in some of Australia's most famous wines. After a lunch of local produce with wine, explore a little more of this gastronomic region and its delights, before returning to Adelaide.

  • Day 9


    First up visit seaside Glenelg then continue on to the picturesque coastal village of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula, where you’ll have some free time to explore. Next, travel by ferry to Kangaroo Island.

  • Day 10


    Today you’ll explore Kangaroo Island! Head to Flinders Chase National Park for some great photo opportunities at the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch. You’ll also have the chance to spot koalas, wallabies and kangaroos. Join your companions at the Andermel Marron Farm for a Be My Guest experience that captures much that is very special about Kangaroo Island. Andermel will host you on a visit to the Marron (freshwater crayfish) ponds and tanks. Enjoy a Wine Tasting of their own Two Wheeler Creek wine, a Local Speciality, and farm-produced bush tucker before sampling the Marron with lunch. Later, tour with a Local Expert at the Seal Bay Conservation Park and walk among a colony of sea lions. Celebrate your trip at a Farewell Dinner with your Travel Director.

  • Day 11


    This morning you’ll cruise by ferry back to Cape Jervis then on to Adelaide to join a Food Expert for a guided tour of the 140 year old Adelaide Market, a Local Speciality. Enjoy the hustle and bustle, sample the culinary delights, meet the traders and share the history and secrets of the Market. Later, you will be transferred to Adelaide Airport for your onward flight (flights to depart after 5pm).
