  • CHESTER

    • + NORTH WALES EXCURSION Out of England and into Wales! Our excursion to Wales takes us to Llangollen the home of the International Music Eisteddfod. All around us are wonderful sights and sounds - the River Dee, steam trains at the Victorian railway station, a myriad of flowers on the river bank. Listen out for the local people speaking the sing-song Welsh language. We then travel through the magnificent Valley of the Cross, past the slate mines and up to the Horseshoe Pass to enjoy views of the Welsh hills.

  • WINDERMERE

    • + WINDERMERE CRUISE AND STEAM TRAIN RIDE A chance to view the glorious scenery of the lake district as we cruise across England's largest lake. Then step back in time as we board the steam train for a short journey from Lakeside to Haverthwaite.

    • + PRIVATE CRUISE ON LAKE WINDERMERE Enjoy an exclusive cruise on a private boat on England's most beautiful lake taking in the northern coastline, many beautiful houses and gardens and Wray Castle. We also see deserted islands, boats, birdlife and have a chance to breath in the local air and appreciate the area so loved by Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. A photographers' paradise.

  • LOCH LOMOND

    • + LOCH LOMOND BOAT TRIP Discover the wild beauty of the 'Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond'. The boats are covered launches and will operate subject to suitable weather conditions.)

  • SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS

    • + HIGHLAND FARM VISIT Visit a real Highland sheep farm and find out about a dying way of life. The shepherd, Neil, has many border collies and will show you how, with different whistles, he can command each dog to carry out different tasks. You will be introduced to the dogs, try your hand at sheep shearing, feed the pups and see how they will be trained to be sheepdogs of the future. This is an opportunity not to be missed. (Weather permitting).

    • + PITLOCHRY VISIT OF BLAIR CASTLE This fine castle is set in its own grounds against a backdrop of glorious scenery. We will enjoy an interior visit of the castle, the home of the Duke of Atholl who is the only man in Britain to have a private army.

After dinner the piper will entertain us in true Scottish style, Slainte Mhath!

    • + ROYAL YACHT BRITANNIA This magnificent ship has played host to some of the most famous people in the world. But, above all, Britannia was home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family.
