  • Day 1


    On arrival at Sydney Airport you are transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey or take a wander through the streets of this exciting city.

  • Day 2


    Meet your travelling companions and Travel Director this morning. Departing Sydney you’ll begin your journey to the nation’s capital via the Southern Highlands with a stop at historic Berrima, and a visit to a working sheep farm, where you’ll get a taste of farm life from a Local Expert, including a Welcome Reception and an Aussie barbecue lunch. You’ll even see a sheep shearing demonstration, a Local Specialty. On arrival in Canberra, you’ll tour through Parliament House with a Local Expert and visit the Australian War Memorial before enjoying dinner this evening with your Travel Director.

  • Day 3


    Cooma and the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme start your day. You’ll be awestruck by the stunningly picturesque Kosciuszko National Park – home to mobs of kangaroos – as you travel the Alpine Way, over the Murray River into Victoria and Beechworth, Victoria’s best preserved gold rush town, for your unique overnight stay in one of the Bed and Breakfast properties, your Authentic Accommodation.

  • Day 4


    Get to know Beechworth with an orientation and some free time to explore the legendary Beechworth Bakery with its fresh pastries and sweets, as well as the antique shops, galleries and the museum. Later it’s on through Glenrowan and Ned Kelly country to culturally diverse and cosmopolitan Melbourne for a city sights orientation tour on arrival. Spend the evening as you wish. Consider taking a relaxing walk to Southbank for a stroll along the Yarra River.

  • Day 5


    Today Melbourne is all yours to explore. You’ll have time to discover some of the secrets of this exceptional city – a myriad of cafés, galleries, museums, markets, restaurants, laneways and parks await you. If you wish to explore further afield you can join a trip to the famous Penguin Parade on Phillip Island, where you’ll watch the nightly ritual as the little penguins march up the sand to their nesting places. Or take the journey along the Great Ocean Road to see the famous Twelve Apostles. Visit the Yarra Valley’s wineries, the Dandenongs and Puffing Billy or Sovereign Hill’s goldmine. Ask your Travel Director for details.

    Your holiday concludes this morning after breakfast. You will be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your onward flight (flights anytime).
