Travelling as a group is easy on most of our guided holidays. Groups of between five to eight people, when travelling together qualify for a 5% discount to the LAND-only portion of the holiday. If nine or more guests travel together, we offer attractive group discounts based on the number of people travelling. So it pays to get together with your family and friends! One of the great benefits of guided travel is the ease of travelling solo and with Trafalgar we make it simple by offering two options.Guaranteed room share - When travelling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the additional expense of a single room supplement. With this in mind Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these holidays on a room sharing basis on the majority of our itineraries. We will accommodate you with a fellow guest of the same gender on a 'two-bedded' room basis (non-smoking rooms only).Please note that we cannot guarantee that roommates will be of a similar age group. This is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends as well as a positive way to stretch your holiday budget further. If we fail to match you we will provide you with a single room at no additional cost to you. Please note, each holiday has a limited number of single rooms and single occupancy may be restricted to certain cabin categories on cruises. What is the single supplement? The single supplement option is available should you prefer the privacy of your own room. Please refer to the pricing section on the itinerary of your choice within our brochure, to see the supplement. A twin share option may also available, which means you can share a room with another guest of the same gender and therefore avoid paying the single supplement. All prices quoted on this website and in Trafalgar brochures are per person, sharing a double/twin room (unless stated otherwise). Are airport transfers included? Transfers will depend on the guided holiday you choose and vary amongst destinations. In general, if you buy a land and air package, return transfers between the airport and hotel are included. In London we have negotiated special group transfer rates from London Heathrow to your Trafalgar London hotel.Please see the itinerary of your choice for details and the specific airport transfer information. Do I need Travel Insurance? We strongly recommend that all guests have a travel insurance policy to ensure your peace of mind before and whilst travelling. It’s important that you protect yourself in case of trip or airline cancellations, an interruption for any reason, baggage delays or loss of baggage and medical expenses. Why isn't my existing medical insurance enough coverage? Check with your primary care insurer but in general most insurance companies will not cover accidents in a foreign country or out of the area, and claims will only be met up to a stated limit. Comprehensive travel insurance will cover balances up to a much higher amount. In addition you will receive cover for travel costs, accommodation and assistance should it be required. Will I need a passport? Passports are needed when travelling outside your home country. In most cases, your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the conclusion of your trip. Consult your travel agent, airline or relevant government authorities to get the latest information. Will I need a visa? You are responsibe for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your guided holiday. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your trip. Please note that obtaining visas can take up to six weeks prior to your departure. It is strongly advised that you consult your travel agent and the local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting well in advance to determine which visas they require and how to obtain them. What is Express Check-In? Trafalgar's Express Check-In is an online check-in facility, which enables you to provide all your essential details and preferences to us prior to your departure. Understanding your needs and preferences helps us to better tailor your trip, so please complete Express Check-In as soon as possible after making your booking. It will take you less than 10 minutes to register and ultimately saves you time with no paperwork on holiday and streamlined arrangements. You’ll receive information, tips and exclusive savings to help you prepare for your holiday and we can also quickly locate you, or your nominated contact, in the unlikely event of an emergency. Travel documents are usually sent 21 days prior to your trip's departure providing full payment has been received. If you are leaving earlier, please ask your travel agent to request documents in good time. Can I request special dietary meals? The meals on offer will provide you with a balanced diet and are based on local foods and menus. We can accommodate guests who prefer a vegetarian diet and can assist with diabetic, gluten free and other medically recommended diets. Please advise us at time of booking. We regret that we are unable to supply meals in accordance with strict religious requirements. All special meal requirements are on a request only basis and cannot be guaranteed.Meal requests that Trafalgar cannot cater for are: salt free, Kosher, Halal, requests for specific dietary supplements such as soya milk and high protein or low carb meals.
