    • + BERLIN BY NIGHT AND DINNER Tonight join in the fun of hearty German food, wine, beer and music. Afterwards enjoy the illuminated landmarks of the German Capital.

    • + BERLIN S SECRET PAST From the Holocaust Memorial and the nearby site of Hitler's Bunker, we visit a remaining section of the Berlin Wall, followed by a stop at the Bendler Block, the Memorial to the Resistance Movement, to learn about the plot by Graf von Stauffenberg. His heroic efforts to assassinate Hitler were recently portrayed by Tom Cruise in 'Valkyrie'. Finally we visit the Topography of Terror, an outdoor documentary located on the former site of the Gestapo HQ.

    • + POTSDAM En route to Potsdam, we will stop off at the Wannsee Villa, regularly used by the SS and Nazi Regime for their guests, and the infamous Conference in 1942 to plan the 'Final Solution'. We then tour the Cecilienhof, which witnessed the signing of the treaty which was to change the face of Post-War Europe, leaving East Germany and Eastern Europe to the Soviets. Finally we shall visit the Glienicke Bridge, scene of the Cold War 'Spy Swaps'. (On Mondays when the Cecilienhof is closed we will visit the interior of the Neue Palais.)

    • + THE TREASURY AND MORITZBURG CASTLE With a local guide we tour the fabulous Treasury, now housed in the world famous Green Vault, before driving to nearby Schloss Moritzburg, hunting lodge and summer residence of Augustus the Strong. Here our guide takes us through the richly decorated rooms of the palace, picturesquely located on a man made island. Time for a stroll on the island before enjoying cake and refreshments. Do as the locals do!

    • + TREASURES OF ROYAL DRESDEN Augustus the Strong, King of Saxony and Poland, and his successor, built the largest porcelain collection in the world, housed in the Zwinger Palace. They also collected masterpieces of European painting, which are displayed in the opposite wing. And then there is the Treasury, displayed in the Green Vault. Our guided tour features two of these collections.
