Day 1
ARRIVE ROME (2 NIGHTS)
Welcome to Rome! Spend the day relaxing or exploring this ancient city on your own. This evening enjoy a Welcome Reception with your Travel Director and fellow travellers. Afterwards, enjoy a drive to see the city lights and finish with a stroll through Piazza Navona featuring the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers.

Day 2
ROME SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide gives you an overview of the historical significance of the Vatican Museums during your included guided visit of the Sistine Chapel. See Michelangelo's frescoed ceiling, believed to be his crowning achievement. Admire St. Peter's Basilica, featuring the Pietà by Michelangelo, a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture. See the colourful Papal Swiss Guards in St. Peter's Square. Cross the River Tiber to ancient Rome and see the Palazzo Venezia, built as a residence for the cardinals in the 15th century and the Campidoglio. Travel along the Via Sacra past the Roman Forum, visit the breathtaking Colosseum, an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome. See the Circus Maximus, an ancient chariot racing stadium which sits in the valley between the Aventine and Palantine Hills. Spend the rest of the day as you choose. Consider visiting the Catacombs or relax at a café on the Via Veneto and watch the world drift by. This evening, you might like to dine at one of the excellent trattorias dotted around the city.

Day 3
ROME - VENICE (2 NIGHTS)
Travel through scenic Umbria and see the impressive hilltop towns of Orte and Orvieto before entering into Tuscany. Make your way past Chianti vineyards and terraced olive groves before crossing over the forested Apennine hills. Arrive later in Venice - one of the most unique and serene cities in the world. Dine tonight at your hotel.

Day 4
VENICE ORIENTATION AND FREE TIME
A visit to the magical city of Venice would not be complete without an orientation cruise by private motor launch along the Giudecca and over to St. Mark's Square, with views of the Doge's Palace and the renowned Bridge of Sighs. Witness a Local Speciality demonstration of the ancient art of Murano glass-blowing in one of the city's oldest workshops. Then there's time on your own to join the various optional activities on offer or to explore the labyrinth of streets and canals.

Day 5
VENICE - PISA - FLORENCE (2 NIGHTS)
This morning cross the Veneto plains then travel over the steep Apennine Mountains to the city of Pisa. See the incredible Leaning Tower and the amazing carved marble Cathedral and Baptistery in the Square of Miracles. Later, travel through the province of Tuscany to Renaissance Florence for your two-night stay.

Day 6
FLORENCE SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide shows you the multi-coloured Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Signoria during your guided walking tour. Enjoy a panoramic view over the city from Piazzale Michelangelo before free time to shop for high quality leather and gold. Alternatively consider visiting the Fine Arts Academy to see the famous statue of David by Michelangelo. Today enjoy an authentic Be My Guest Tuscan lunch experience made with locally sourced fresh produce.

Day 7
FLORENCE - SIENA - ROME
Drive through the Chianti vineyards to the medieval city of Siena. Here an orientation includes the Piazza del Campo, scene of the annual Palio horse races. There is time at leisure to shop for Tuscan specialities before returning to the Eternal City of Rome. This evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your Travel Director and fellow travellers.
