+ NORTH WALES EXCURSION
Out of England and into Wales! Our excursion to Wales takes us to Llangollen the home of the International Music Eisteddfod. All around us are wonderful sights and sounds - the River Dee, steam trains at the Victorian railway station, a myriad of flowers on the river bank. Listen out for the local people speaking the sing-song Welsh language. We then travel through the magnificent Valley of the Cross, past the slate mines and up to the Horseshoe Pass to enjoy views of the Welsh hills.

Visit a real Highland sheep farm and find out about a dying way of life. The shepherd, Neil, has many border collies and will show you how, with different whistles, he can command each dog to carry out different tasks. You will be introduced to the dogs, try your hand at sheep shearing, feed the pups and see how they will be trained to be sheepdogs of the future. This is an opportunity not to be missed.
