FRANKFURT - RHINE CRUISE - COLOGNE
Cruise along the River Rhine from St. Goar, site of the famous Lorelei Rock. The scenery is spectacular! Your day ends in Cologne, Germany's fourth largest city, where you see the impressive Gothic cathedral.

Day 3
COLOGNE - HAMELIN - HAMBURG
Drive through Lower Saxony and stop in Hamelin en-route to Hamburg. Hamelin is a picturesque town depicted in the Brothers Grimm fairytale and has also been immortalised in poems by Goethe and Robert Browning. Later in Hamburg, see the main sights including the inner Alster Lake during an orientation tour with your Travel Director. Dine tonight at your hotel.

HAMBURG - BERLIN (2 NIGHTS)

Day 5
BERLIN SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Marvel at the landmarks of the old East and West sections of Berlin during your sightseeing tour with your Local Guide, including The Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden Boulevard, the German State Opera House, Reichstag Building, Tiergarten and the shopping and entertainment district of Kurfürstendamm. Spend the rest of your day exploring on your own and shopping for souvenirs!

BERLIN - DRESDEN
A short drive south brings you to Dresden - known as 'Florence on the Elbe'. See the highlights of this astonishing Renaissance city including the Opera House and Zwinger Palace.

DRESDEN - BAYREUTH - NUREMBERG
In Bayreuth, admire the Wagner Festival Theatre before arriving in Nuremberg, where you see mighty ramparts, a bustling market place and St. Sebald’s Cathedral on your orientation tour of the city.

NUREMBERG - ROTHENBURG - MUNICH (2 NIGHTS)
Your Travel Director takes you on a wonderful orientation walk of Rothenburg, perhaps the most well-preserved medieval town in Germany. Sights include half-timbered houses and the old town hall. Shop for wooden Christmas ornaments, then follow part of the Romantic Road through picturesque villages and pristine countryside to Munich, the lively capital of Bavaria. Enjoy an included dinner at your hotel this evening.

Day 9
MUNICH SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
See the city's landmarks on your orientation tour including the Olympic Stadium, Ludwigstrasse and Marienplatz, famous for its Glockenspiel Carillon. Take an optional excursion to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site in the afternoon or spend the rest of the day exploring on your own. You could visit Munich’s fine museums or enjoy a walk in some of the beautiful city gardens. This evening, consider a visit to the Hofbräuhaus, the world's most famous beer hall!

MUNICH - OBERAMMERGAU - NEUSCHWANSTEIN - BLACK FOREST
Head south to the quaint village of Oberammergau, where the famous Passion Play is performed once every decade. Stop to marvel at King Ludwig's fairytale 19th century castle of Neuschwanstein. After time for lunch, admire the scenery as you drive along the Bavarian pre-alpine range and into the hills and lakes of the Black Forest, famous for cuckoo clocks. Dine tonight at your hotel.

BLACK FOREST - HEIDELBERG - FRANKFURT
A scenic drive brings you to the famous university town of Heidelberg built alongside the picturesque River Neckar. See Heidelberg Castle, one of the most important Renaissance structures north of the alps as well as the Baroque style Old Town. Enjoy some free time for souvenir shopping before continuing on to Frankfurt.
