Holiday in Bath – Your guide to Bath, England

What to see in Bath?

  1. Ancient Roman Baths: These are some of the best preserved of any in the world and certainly the main attraction of the city.
  2. Bath Abbey: An embodiment of Perpendicular Gothic architecture, boasting strong vertical lines, intricately designed pinnacles and ornate stained glass windows. For a supreme view of the city, climb the winding staircase to the top of the abbey’s tower and take in the fusion of old buildings and green spaces below you.
  3. Bath’s Royal Crescent: One of the finest examples of Georgian architecture, comprising a crescent shaped row of some 30 houses, one of which is now a hotel and another (No. 1) is open to the public.
  4. Jane Austen Centre: Celebrating Bath’s most famous resident, the centre offers a snapshot of life during Regency times and explores how living in this magnificent city affected Jane Austen’s life and writing.
  5. The Herschel Museum of Astronomy: Celebrates the work of William Herschel and his sister Caroline during the last quarter of the 18th century.
