Holiday in Nice – Your guide to Nice, France

What to see in Nice?

  1. Promenade des Anglais: Nice’s main promenade, lined with cafes and hotels and nicknamed La Prom by the locals.
  2. Cours Saleya Market: Just one street back from the beach, the Cours Saleya is both a food and flower market with a stunning array of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses, oils, spices and beautiful flowers. On Mondays, the food and flowers are swapped for antiques.
  3. Le Chateau: Climb to the top of Castle Hill to view the ruins of this historic castle and admire the breathtaking panoramic views across the city of Nice.
  4. Matisse Museum: Devoted to the work of the great French painter Henri Matisse and one of the largest collections of his work in the world.
  5. Vieux Nice (Old Nice): With its narrow streets, historic architecture and pastel houses, the old town of Nice still looks very much the same as it would have some two centuries ago and is a hub of activity for tourists and locals alike.
