Amsterdam is a great city for shopping and is renowned for it’s diamonds. Many roads are pedestrianised so wandering the “shopping” corridors is easy and relaxing. There is a daily clothes and second-hand market by the City Hall and a food and clothes market in the Albert Cuypstraat - the best-known and busiest outdoor market in Europe. There are 300 stalls with fruit, vegetables, cheese, fish, poultry and clothes and all at great prices. The diamond industry in Amsterdam is world famous, and a trip to the Diamond centre is a sparkling experience.
