If you’re interested in upscale designer wear then head straight for Rodeo Drive. Santa Monica also has a buzzing retail area, great for mid-priced clothing and jewellery.
The major US department stores chains all have flagship branches in LA – among them Macys, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. There’s also a wealth of shopping malls dotted all over the city.
