Cemetery of the Recoleta - The most celebrated Argentineans, including Eva Peron and her family, are buried at this elaborate cemetery. Here mausoleums have been made to look like chapels, pyramids and Greek temples.
Cafe Tortoni - The oldest cafe of its type in Argentina, from here you can watch reasonably priced tango shows in its velvet-covered back room.
Plaza de Mayo - The city centre - here you'll find the sites if some of the Argentina's most important historical events. Surrounding it is the Government House, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Cabildo (town hall).
La Boca - Known as the birthplace of the tango, this one-time shipyard has a famous walkway, the Caminito, where tango dancers perform and artists exhibit their work.
San Telmo - This revitalized area with its artistic cafes, cobblestone streets and antique shops is one of the city's oldest neighbourhoods.
