  • Day 1


    On arrival at Auckland Airport you’ll be transferred to your hotel. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception and ‘Highlight Dinner’ at The Langham.

  • Day 2


    Travel to the Waitomo Caves to see the incredible Glow Worm Grotto on a boat tour with a Local Expert. This evening experience the traditional world of Maori in a 200 year old Tawa setting. Share the Powhiri, an anicent ceremony of welcome. Enter the Meeting House and witness a powerful and entertaining cultural performance. This is followed by a Maori Hangi Be My Guest dinner accompanied by local wine and a concert at the Tamaki Family Marae.

  • Day 3


    A Maori Local Expert will accompany you around the Whakarewarewa Living Thermal Village, where you’ll gain an insight into Maori culture. See New Zealand’s biggest geyser, bubbling mud pools and thermal springs. Your next stop is Rainbow Springs Nature Park for a tour with a Local Expert. You may even spot a kiwi! Then visit the Local Speciality Agrodome Sheep Show, the multi-award-winning stage show, for a taste of farm life.

  • Day 4


    This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Queenstown. On arrival explore the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown on the Arrow River, previously one of the world’s richest rivers, before an orientation tour of Queenstown and surrounds. See Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkables Mountain Range and the home of the Bungy Jump at Kawarau Bridge.

  • Day 5


    A free day to do as you choose in New Zealand’s adventure capital. Why not take a day trip to mystical Milford Sound? You will travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau and its lake then through the rainforest of World Heritage Fiordland National Park, sighting glaciers and mountain ranges. Travel through the hand-hewn Homer Tunnel to abundant photo opportunities afforded by the Mirror Lake, Pop’s Lookout, Cleddau Valley and the Chasm, en route to Milford Sound to board your cruise for an unforgettable experience.

  • Day 6


    You will be transferred to Queenstown Airport to board your flight for Melbourne, Australia. On arrival you are transferred to the hotel. This rest of the day is free to explore this cosmopolitan city, before meeting your Travel Director.

  • Day 7


    Enjoy a morning city sightseeing tour with your Travel Director including a private walk through Melbourne’s famous hidden laneways, a Local Speciality. You'll discover the city’s eclectic little lanes, arcades, café society and fascinating shops. The remainder of the day is at leisure so you may consider an excursion to the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island.

  • Day 8


    This morning you will be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Cairns, Queensland. On arrival visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, a celebration of the living history of the Indigenous people of the rainforest. Discover the medicinal values of bush tucker and enjoy professional theatre incorporating traditional Aboriginal dance, fire making and storytelling. Join an Indigenous staff member for a fun introduction to Aboriginal art and see how Aboriginal culture is expressed in their artwork. Complete your own boomerang dot painting, which you can take home as a souvenir of your Local Speciality experience.

  • Day 9


    Board a high speed catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy an informative reef education presentation with a Local Expert. See a myriad of coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and the semi-submersible craft. There is the opportunity to go snorkelling and view this natural living wonder up close (equipment provided). Enjoy a tropical buffet Highlight Lunch before you return to Cairns.

  • Day 10


    Visit the Cairns Wildlife Dome to encounter crocodiles, koalas, wallabies, possums and other unique Australian animals. Later, you'll be transferred to Cairns Airport for your flight to Sydney. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Perhaps take a stroll through Darling Harbour or wander down to the historic Rocks district at Circular Quay for a panoramic view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

  • Day 11


    This morning enjoy a tour of the Sydney Opera House with a Local Expert. Later, board your coach to see the Royal Botanic Gardens and visit Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. Your destination is famous Bondi Beach for an iconic Australian experience. You’ll be greeted by a local surf lifesaver before a Be My Guest lunch at an Aussie institution, the Returned Servicemen’s Club, with its views over the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Your host will take you on an exclusive tour through Australia’s oldest surf lifesaving club to learn about the history of Bondi and surf lifesaving. Return to the city for a cruise on the beautiful harbour. Then you will have the opportunity to learn about Australia’s national gemstone - the opal.

  • Day 12


    Spend a free day in this exciting city. Why not take an excursion to the famous Blue Mountains and see some of Australia’s native wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Or you could visit the Hunter Valley, New South Wales’ premier wine-growing region. Gather together this evening with your Travel Director and new-found friends for a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant by the water.

    Time to bid farewell as we transfer you to Sydney Airport for your flight home (flights anytime).
