On every itinerary, we offer a range of optional excursions that allow you to further enhance your experience should you so choose. These are purchased when you are on your trip, via your Trafalgar Travel Director. Depending on the region visited these can be paid with cash or credit card.

  • SAN DIEGO

    • + SAN DIEGO SCENIC HARBOR CRUISE HISTORIC CORONADO After lunch in one of San Diego's popular areas, embark on a one-hour narrated boat tour of San Diego Harbor. Take in incredible views of San Diego and Coronado Island along with busy harbor sites including the Star of India, the U.S. Navy surface fleet, Coronado Bay Bridge and bustling shipyards. Next, cross the famous Coronado Bridge, a unique 2.1 mile bridge with an 80 degree bend that connects San Diego to the “Crown City.” On the island, visit and explore the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, a National Historic Landmark that opened in 1888. Charlie Chaplin, Babe Ruth, and Charles Lindberg, and at least 10 US Presidents have all stayed at “The Del.” Movie buffs might remember the hotel from "Some Like It Hot" with Marilyn Monroe. The final stop will be at the Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace for great photo opportunities of the harbor and skyline. Tour length: 5 hours. (Minimum: 15 passengers)

    • + SAN DIEGO ZOO Explore the world-famous San Diego Zoo, located in beautiful Balboa Park. Caring for over 4,000 animals of 800 different species from the forests and jungles of the world, the zoo is a unique walking experience that exhibits animals in the most natural way possible, adding shows and animal presentations throughout the day. Take the zoo bus tour to help you decide which areas you want to spend more time in – be sure to visit the Lost Forest to watch the gorillas in action and stop at the Giant Panda Research Station, which is now home to three Giant Pandas including Yun Zi born in 2009. Your admission includes the zoo bus tour, roundtrip Skyfari Aerial Tram Ride, all shows and children's zoo. Transfers included. (Minimum: 10 passengers) Tour length: 5 hours.

  • PHOENIX

    • + HOT AIR BALLOONING Discover the awesome beauty of the desert at sunrise as you float in your hot air balloon over the distinctive landmarks of the Valley of the Sun. You will fly close to the ground - usually under 400 feet. At this altitude you'll be able to see the sights and sounds of desert life. Breakfast, champagne and juice is included. Tour length: 3-4 hours.

  • SEDONA

    • + CANYON COWBOYS JEEP TOUR Your Red Rock Western Guide takes you through a scenic wonderland surrounded by seven majestic canyons into historic Dry Creek Basin. Relive Sedona's early cowboy days with tales of murder and moonshine, where only select jeep tour companies are permitted to travel. Tour length: 1.5 hours.

  • GRAND CANYON

    • + NORTH CANYON TOUR 25 30 MIN HELICOPTER FLIGHT Experience the magnitude of the Grand Canyon and its splendor of ever-changing color in a perspective incomparable to any other method of seeing this “Wonder of the World.” Your tour takes you over the deepest portion of the Grand Canyon, through the Dragon Corridor, and continues to the North Rim, where you view the incredible geological differences between the North and South Rims. During your return to the South Rim, enjoy breathtaking views of temples, shrines and rock formations sculpted by time while flying above the widest portion of the mighty Colorado River. You'll be amazed by the brilliant Fremont Street Experience, see countless wedding chapels, and, of course, be awed by the most spectacular collection of casino hotels in the world. There will be plenty of stops along the way to see some of the most extravagant casinos and attractions, each trying to outdo the other. Be prepared for an evening that's full of surprises and an all you can eat buffet! Tour length: 3.5 hours.

    • + BALLY S JUBILEE Have a blast at Jubilee! - Donn Arden's lavish stage spectacular, boasting the most glitter this side of Hollywood. A brilliant spectacle filled with beautiful showgirls, lavish costumes and intricate sets, Jubilee! sets itself apart as the true Vegas production show. More than 70 showgirls fill the stage, adorned with elaborate feather head-dresses and dazzling Bob Mackie costumes. The Titanic sinks nightly, and a stunning tribute to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers will leave you mesmerized. Enjoy the million dollar sets and the A-1 tune-crooning - a true Las Vegas marvel.     • + HOOVER DAM EXCURSION Visit the largest concrete arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere and the amazing dam that controls the flow of the Colorado River, providing water and power for millions in the hottest, driest areas of the U.S. Travel past Lake Mead for a two-hour stay at the Hoover Dam. Explore the Visitor's Center museum and movie room. Ride the elevator 530 feet down through the rock wall of Black Canyon and begin a 35-minute guided tour. You'll exit the elevator into a tunnel drilled in the 1930s for construction, and walk out to the viewing platform atop one of the four huge pipes that can transport nearly 90,000 gallons of water each second from Lake Mead to the dam's hydroelectric generators. Visit the balcony for a panoramic view of the power plant and eight of the dam's 17 huge generators. Tour length: 5 hours.

    • + RAT PACK IS BACK DINNER SHOW Frank Sinatra, Joey Bishop, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. – The Rat Pack is indeed back alive and kicking in Sin City! Enjoy a buffet dinner before the show, a throwback to the Golden Era of Las Vegas showrooms when booths were the norm and doormen walked you to your table. The Los Angeles Times might have said it best when they claimed, “Some would swear they've stepped into a time machine!” Neither the original gang, nor the Sands Hotel, is still around – but that doesn't mean you can't relive some of the most memorable times in Las Vegas history.   • SAN FRANCISCO

    • + GOLDEN GATE BRDIGE WALK SAUSALITO Begin your afternoon adventure with a wondrous cruise across the bay, passing haunting Alcatraz Island - catching an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge - before arriving in the quaint seaside community of Sausalito. Leisurely browse the charming shops or have lunch along the picturesque bay. Time to walk off those calories with a stroll across the 1.7 mile span of the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge. Learn how the bridge was an engineering marvel and about the people who gave so much time to build this icon of San Francisco Tour length: 3.5 hours. (Minimum: 10 passengers).

    • + GUIDED CHINATOWN WALKING TOUR CHINESE BANQUET RIDE THE CABLE CAR AND CITY ILLUMINATIONS TOUR Enjoy this illuminating and exciting experience of San Francisco by night. Start with a guided walking tour of Chinatown, one of the largest Chinese communities outside of China. Explore Chinese markets, herb shops, a fortune cookie factory and more (weather permitting). Then experience an authentic family-style Chinese feast at ward winning Hunan Home's Restaurant. After dinner, ride one of San Francisco's fabled Cable Cars along one of the city's most scenic routes. Then, board your motorcoach for the City Illuminations Tour. Drive past the colorful signs and glittering lights of North Beach, the Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf, Telegraph Hill, Coit Tower, the Broadway Strip and the historic Ferry Building. After crossing the Oakland Bay Bridge to Treasure Island, top off your evening with a spectacular night panorama of sparkling San Francisco! Tour length: 4 hours. (Minimum: 15 passengers)

  • MONTEREY

    • + DINNER AT BUBBA GUMP Who would have ever guessed an Academy Award winning film from 1994 would have something in common with great food? Enter Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant in Monterey. Perched right on the edge of majestic Monterey Bay in historic Cannery Row, the restaurant was modeled after the movie “Forrest Gump” which took home the Oscar more than a decade ago and remains a classic to this day. Forrest Gump loved his shrimp, and Bubba Gump Restaurant is no different. The restaurant is known for great seafood (not to mention award winning baby back ribs) all in a fun and festive atmosphere. Bubba Gump is also brimming with memorabilia from the movie itself, and if you're lucky, the waiters and waitresses might even quiz you on your Forrest Gump trivia knowledge. Tour length: 2 hours.
