    See the famous sights including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace on your included half day sightseeing tour with a Local Guide. The rest of your day is free for shopping or exploring.

    A scenic drive through beautiful countryside brings you to Stratford-upon-Avon. Visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Visitor Centre and see Anne Hathaway’s cottage. Later, in the Viking town of York, enjoy a walk along historic streets. View the cobbled Shambles, the ancient city walls and the magnificent York Minster. Stop for a Welcome Drink in a traditional pub before enjoying dinner at your hotel.

    Rugged, dramatic and spectacular − the Northumberland National Park is all these things and more! View the remarkably intact ruins of the 12th Century Jedburgh Abbey on your way to the beautiful Scottish capital, Edinburgh.

    Your morning sightseeing tour with your Local Guide includes the elegant New Town, Princes Street, the Royal Mile, views of Holyrood House and Arthur’s Seat. Enjoy a guided visit of Edinburgh Castle. During the Edinburgh Festival, your stay includes tickets to the spectacular Edinburgh Tattoo. Tonight, consider a traditional Scottish night out with haggis, dancing and bagpipes!

    Travel across the Firth of Forth to St. Andrews to view the celebrated ancient university and the home of golf. Continue north across the Tay at Dundee, to visit Pitlochry, a charming village on the banks of the River Tummel. Explore the village or join an excursion to see Blair Castle, ancestral home to the Dukes of Atholl.

    Travel via the lochs and glens of the Scottish Highlands, taking the Skye Bridge with its views of picturesque Eilean Donan Castle, to the Isle of Skye, renowned for its spectacular scenery. Visit the Clan Donald Centre and the Museum of the Isles. Discover the history of the Kingdom of the Isles, trace your genealogy, or explore the gardens before returning to Mallaig by ferry. View Loch Ness en route back to your hotel. Dine tonight at your hotel.

    Stop at the Commando Memorial near Fort William for breath-taking views of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Continue south through Glencoe, ‘Glen of the Weeping’, site of the infamous massacre of the Macdonald clan by the Campbells in 1692. This afternoon, your orientation tour of Glasgow includes views of the Cathedral and the magnificent George Square. Visit the Necropolis for a Unique Insight into one of Europe’s most important 19th century burial grounds.

  • Day 10


    This morning, visit Gretna Green where eloping couples would say their vows over the anvil. Cross the English border and continue through the lush countryside of the Lake District to the village of Grasmere. View the grave of William Wordsworth then travel along the shores of England’s largest lake, Windermere, through Lancashire to Manchester. Tonight, enjoy dinner at your hotel.

    This morning visit Chester where your orientation walk includes the Roman walls and the famous Tudor 'Rows'. Then travel the scenic North Wales coast to the Island of Anglesey. Visit the Welsh railway station with one of the longest place names in the world, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch on your way to Holyhead. Cross the Irish Sea to Dublin, the Irish capital.This evening, join your companions for a Highlight Dinner on a canal boat in Dublin.

    See Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Phoenix Park and the stately Georgian Squares with your Local Guide. Enjoy an included visit to the Guinness Brewery for a Storehouse tour and pint-pulling demonstration. Spend the rest of the day as you please, why not explore Temple Bar or Grafton Street, famous for its street performers. This evening consider joining an excursion to an Irish cabaret.

    Travel to the West coast and the city of Galway. View Galway cathedral and Eyre Square before continuing to Limerick.

    Follow the Ring of Kerry around the Iveragh Peninsula, characterised by plunging cliffs, shimmering lakes, granite mountains and rugged coastlines. See a mystical and unspoilt region of Ireland as you wind your way through Killorglin, Cahirciveen, Waterville and Moll’s Gap. Enjoy a Be My Guest lunch in beautiful Sneem, a rural town in the heart of County Kerry.

    Visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous stone to attain the ‘gift of the gab’! Stop in picturesque Cobh, the last port of call for the Titanic on its fateful voyage where you will have time for lunch. This afternoon, visit the House of Waterford Crystal. Watch the master craftsmen at work during your Local Speciality tour of the workshop, and see the exquisite completed pieces in the showroom. Dine tonight at your hotel.

    Cross the Irish Sea to Wales, and continue your journey to Cardiff Bay to view the Millennium Centre and the National Assembly. View the historic Cardiff Castle and see the Millennium Stadium before arriving at your hotel.

    Drive east, over the Severn Estuary, to Bath. On arrival in the city, admire the Georgian buildings and visit the Roman Baths after which the city is named. Spend some time exploring before making your way to visit the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey to see where King Arthur was buried. Later, we arrive into the historic naval port of Plymouth.

    Your orientation of Plymouth includes the Mayflower steps, where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the New World. See the Royal Citadel overlooking Plymouth Sound. Cross the River Tamar and follow the Cornish peninsula to St. Ives, the renowned artists’ colony. Photograph St. Michael’s Mount near Penzance. Relax and enjoy the stunning Cornish scenery! This evening, join your companions and Travel Director for a Farewell Dinner.
