From the rim of the amphitheatre, gaze down upon thousands of pink, orange and yellow pinnacles, the result of millions of years of erosion. You may even spot one of the park's bristlecone pines, the world's longest-living trees! This evening, gather with your travelling compadres for a Western dinner and show.

Then it's onward to Moab. You'll also see a naturalist presentation from a Local Expert on the ecology of the southwestern desert. Your hotel tonight is the Red Cliffs Lodge, an Authentic Accommodation. The ranch includes both the lodge and a museum, which documents the history of this hotel. In the late 40s the legendary John Ford discovered the rugged beauty of Moab's Canyonlands and filmed the first of many movies here. The first major motion pictures filmed in the Moab area were set on the Red Cliffs Ranch. End your day's journey with a cowboy cookout at the lodge.
