Conservation Foundation

Trafalgar is one of the founding companies of The Travel Corporation’s Conservation Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 2008. The Conservation Foundation supports projects that encourage the sustainable development of tourism. To date, the Foundation has committed more than US $1.5 million to projects around the world. National Trust

In cooperation with The Conservation Foundation, we are pleased to support the The National Trust in its project to build a new, environmentally sustainable visitor centre at Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland’s World Heritage site. The new facilities will work to protect the headland, provide increased interpretation on the site and improve trails so that visitors can explore more of this iconic site. Click here to

Fuel efficient coaches

Coach travel has been proven to have substantial environmental benefits, including reducing congestion and causing less pollution per passenger mile than any other transportation option. Coaches emit fewer greenhouse gases on a per passenger basis than either train or car travel.* Our fleet is among the best in Europe and complies with EU emissions standards V or VI, which are the most efficient engines currently available.

The Travel Corporation participates in Smart Move , an industry initiative that promotes the greater use of coaches worldwide, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 50 million tonnes per year.
