Day 3
ROME SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your included sightseeing tour with a Local Guide begins at the Vatican Museums. Experience a Unique Insight when you ascend the smooth and step-less spiral staircase designed by famous architect Donato Bramante. Admire Michelangelo’s magnificent frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel and then visit St. Peter’s Basilica to see his famous Pietà. Your tour continues in ancient Rome. View the Forum and visit the impressive Colosseum. There’s time afterwards to explore the city on your own, or simply relax and watch the world go by! Note: Certain departures will visit the Sistine Chapel on your return to Rome.

ROME - POMPEII - ISLE OF CAPRI (2 NIGHTS)
Visit the Commonwealth Cemetery at Monte Cassino in the valley below the Abbey. Visit the excavations at Pompeii - buried for centuries beneath volcanic ash after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD - with commentary from your Local Guide. In Sorrento, see fine local craftsmanship at an inlaid wood factory. Cruise across the Bay of Naples to the beautiful Isle of Capri, your home for the next two nights! Dine tonight at your hotel.

CAPRI ORIENTATION AND FREE TIME
Your walking orientation of Capri town includes views of the Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola. Admire the legendary Piazzetta, the centre of local life! Spend free time shopping at elegant boutiques, or perhaps explore the coast of this pretty island by private motor launch.
Day 6
ISLE OF CAPRI - NAPLES - ASSISI
Sail back across the Mediterranean to ‘Bella Napoli’. Drive through Naples and north via Latium into the Umbrian hills to the mystical town of Assisi. Your Local Guide shows you the sights including views of the Church of St. Mary of the Angels, where St. Francis died. Visit the Basilica, featuring frescoes by Giotto. Dine tonight at your hotel.

VENICE SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Venice is a remarkable Byzantine city with a rich cultural and maritime history, which is evident during your cruise to St. Mark’s Square. See the Basilica, Bridge of Sighs and Doge’s Palace. Watch the Venetian craftsmen at work creating local specialities at a glass-blowing workshop on Giudecca island. This afternoon explore on your own, shop for souvenirs or perhaps take a boat trip round the islands in the lagoon!

VENICE - BRENTA CANAL - MONTECATINI (TUSCAN HILLS) (2 NIGHTS)

FLORENCE EXCURSION
Your day excursion to the Renaissance city of Florence is incredible!
