On every itinerary, we offer a range of optional excursions that allow you to further enhance your experience should you so choose. These are purchased when you are on your trip, via your Trafalgar Travel Director. Depending on the region visited these can be paid with cash or credit card.

  • SERAPIQUI

    • + HORESEBACK RIDING TOUR Horseback ride with the horse owners who have raised these chosen horses for you (certified good health, strong, and well trained). Hacienda Pozo Azul's will share their many internal trails and solitary back roads in the area so you can enjoy a real adventure on a horse. The tour has an ideal route and length of ride for you, trained guides with radio communication will provide a safer ride on this beautiful and wild scenery to create an unforgettable experience. Length: 4 hours (Min 2 pax)

    • + WHITE WATER RAFTING CLASS II AND III This tour leaves from the Hacienda Pozo Azul facilities to cover 13 Km. The river is very safe with several accesses throughout the tour and constant communication with the base. Includes safety rules and instructions presentation at private dock on the property, energizing fresh local fruits by the river at a swimming spot, a ride back for shower and changing, certification, experienced guides and top of the line equipment. Length: 3 hours (Min 2 pax)

  • MANUEL ANTONIO

    • + SURF LESSONS Don't know how to surf? We'll teach you! Whether you are seven years old or seventy-seven, beginner or experienced, travelling alone or in a group. We also have extensive knowledge regarding the tides and therefore know when and where to take our students depending on their level of experience in order to have fun but more importantly to be safe. At Manuel Antonio Surf School we only use specially designed surf boards. We have long boards made out of a special lightweight material just perfect for beginners as well as fiberglass. If you are more experienced we can also provide you with shorter, more traditional boards for riding the waves in style. All of our instructors speak English and are the first instructors certified by ISA (International Surfing Association) in Costa Rica as well as highly trained in water safety and First Aid. Length: 4 hours (Min 2 pax)

    • + HORSEBACK RIDING TOUR During the 40 minute drive to Londres where the tour starts your guide will give you a run down on the history of Quepos. Once you reach Londres you will set foot on a picturesque property that has bathrooms, stables, a corral and a open air waiting area. You will receive riding instruction, safety tips and practice time, before heading out to explore the rainforest. This Manuel Antonio tour allows you to uncover the exotic secrets that lie within this secondary rainforest. The maximum altitude in this area is 600 meters. You will ride through the mountains without reaching the mountain top. Your horse ride lasts approximately 2 and a half hours roundtrip and it will be highlighted by views of the valley, verdant vegetation and numerous wildlife species such as birds and reptiles. At the end of the trail there is a beautiful waterfall where you will be able to rest for about 30 minutes. You can lounge on the grass or take a swim. You will then return retracing the same route. At the end of your Manuel Antonio tour you will be served a delicious lunch made with local ingredients. Enjoy a little conversation before heading back to your hotel. Length: 4 hours (Min 2 pax). Child price is applicable for 6-11yo only.

    • + MANGROVE KAYAK TOUR Explore the wonderful world of mangroves just 15 minutes from Manuel Antonio area. Our Mangrove Kayaking trips lets you discover a variety of amazing wildlife within the mangrove forests. The tour will happen in the mangrove eco system of Isla de Damas (Damas Island). You will float under a lush canopy of rainforest, silently watching an spectacular variety of birds, snakes, crocodiles, ant eaters, and many groups of white face monkeys. Length: 4 hours (Min 2 pax). Child price is applicable for 6-11yo only.

    • + NARANJO WHITE WATER RAFTING With class III & IV challenges, these rivers resolutely drop from the mountains above Quepos, through a beautiful jungle gorge near sea level farmlands and palm oil plantations. Whether you are an expert or beginner, nature lover or thrill seeker, this expedition is for you! Our rafting tour will take you to the Savegre River or the Naranjo River, depending on the time of year. Length: 5 hours (Min 2 pax). Child price is applicable for 6-11yo only.

    • + CATAMARAN SNORKELING TOUR The catamaran will chart a picturesque course departing from Quepos gliding around the back of Manuel Antonio national park. See notable wildlife and vegetation as you pass by panoramas adorned with islands, cliffs and rock formations. You can admire aviary nesting grounds and marine wildlife. Beverages and snacks are available onboard the catamaran throughout the trip. After touring the coastline, your captain will set anchor on Bisanz beach where you can snorkel at this secluded bay. You are most likely to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish and if you are lucky a dolphin! Savor a tasty barbeque lunch onboard the catamaran while admiring the lovely waterscapes. Then head back to the dock where there will be transportation waiting to take you back to your hotel. This Manuel Antonio tour does not require previous experience. Water visibility varies depending on the season. Length: 4 hours (Min 2 pax)
