Day 3
PARIS SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your Local Guide takes you on an informative sightseeing tour. Enjoy views of the Paris skyline from the second level of the Eiffel Tower. See the Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde and Notre Dame Cathedral on the Île de la Cité. Later, consider an optional trip to Monet’s garden at Giverny.
Day 4
PARIS - TGV TRAIN - PONT DU GARD - AVIGNON
Take the impressive and fast TGV train through the heart of France, past Auxerre and the sprawling vineyards of Burgundy to the Rhône Valley. View the Roman Pont du
Gard. Your orientation of Avignon includes views of the impressive Palace of the Popes and the ruined bridge straddling the River Rhône, which inspired the famous French song, ‘sur le pont d’Avignon’. Dine tonight at your hotel.

Day 5
AVIGNON - ARLES - AIX-EN-PROVENCE
Today begins with a visit to the hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Later marvel at the Roman Amphitheatre and Romanesque cathedral during your sightseeing and walking tour of Arles, a city where Vincent Van Gogh lived for a time. This evening in the elegant city of Aix-en-Provence, join your companions for an authentic Be My Guest dinner of regional food at a provençal family restaurant.

Day 6
AIX-EN-PROVENCE - ST. TROPEZ - CANNES - MONACO - NICE (2 NIGHTS)
Traverse scenic hills to the coast and the glitzy resort of St. Tropez. The playground of the rich and famous, St. Tropez is where Brigitte Bardot was ‘discovered’. Take a boat cruise to Ste. Maxime. Continue by road to Cannes - the jewel in the Côte d’Azur - and see the Film Festival Centre on the sophisticated Boulevard de la Croisette. Later, a scenic drive brings you to the Principality of Monaco, where you see the Palace of the ruling Grimaldi family and the cathedral where the late Princess Grace and Prince Rainier were married. Then evening, join your companions for a delicious Highlight Dinner at one of the principality's many bustling restaurants. Later, your orientation of Nice includes a drive along the Promenade des Anglais as well as views of Place Massena and the Old Town.

NICE - FREE TIME
Spend the morning relaxing. Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, swim in the Mediterranean or shop in chic boutiques.
Day 8
NICE - ROUTE NAPOLEON - LYON
Drive along part of the scenic Route Napoleon inland and travel via Manosque and the Durance Valley to the town of Sisteron. Take the alpine route along the Col de la Croix to Lyon, France’s second largest city. Standing at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers, Lyon is known as one of the greatest gastronomic cities in the world. Enjoy an orientation which includes Place Bellecour and views of the Basilica of Notre Dame.

LYON - BEAUNE - PARIS
Journey via the vineyards of Macon and Beaune to Paris. Stop in Beaune where there is plenty of time to shop for souvenirs. Tonight, celebrate with your Travel Director and newfound friends at a very special Farewell Dinner.
