In Thailand's capital city, Bangkok, life is lived on the street. It is home to many golden Buddhist temples and riverboats, but it's the street vendors and bustling bazaars that keep Bangkok on its feet day and night. Join us and we’ll take you in a tuk-tuk to the city’s oldest temple, the splendid Wat Pho, home to the 160-foot-long reclining Buddha. Plus you'll get to see the Grand Palace, which is the king’s official residence and site of the country’s most sacred Buddhist temple. You’ll discover there’s no such thing as a language barrier when you find yourself chatting to a monk.
Try out your bartering skills at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the gorgeous Pak Khlong Talat fruit and flower market. We’ll give you the opportunity to visit a coconut palm sugar plantation to witness how a farmer extracts sap from palm trees before it’s eventually turned into sugar. You’ll also have the chance to wander the endlessly green Lumphini Park and try your hand at the ancient martial art of tai chi.
