DAY 1: Friday 23 December 2016 – Arrive New York

Welcome to New York – the Big Apple, and an exciting city that never sleeps. Enjoy your first views of the city as you are transferred from the airport to your hotel in the heart of Manhattan. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Dinner, including drinks. After dinner the evening is yours to enjoy a stroll around the great streets of the city and take in the festive atmosphere

DAY 2: Saturday 24 December 2016 – New York City - New Hampshire (2 nights)

Travel north-east into New Hampshire, one of the founding states of the USA, and famous as the home of the first primary in US presidential elections. Enjoy the picturesque scenery as you approach the White Mountain National Forest, one of the most popular destinations for hiking, camping and skiing on the entire east coast. Arrive at your hotel, which is perfectly located right at the edge of the forest, and provides excellent facilities to enjoy during your stay - including an indoor water park! Enjoy dinner tonight in your hotel.

DAY 3: Sunday 25 December 2016 – Christmas Celebrations

Today enjoy a festive Christmas Brunch, before a day at leisure. Relax and enjoy the hotel facilities, or take the opportunity to make the most of the natural highlights of the area by spending the day skiing or snowboarding at the nearby Cranmore Mountain Resort – lift tickets can even be arranged at the hotel reception! Tonight join your fellow travellers and Travel Director for a delicious Christmas Dinner.

DAY 4: Monday 26 December 2016 – New Hampshire - Yarmouth - Freeport - Boston (3 nights)

Travel east to the Atlantic Coast, and stop in the town of Yarmouth for a Cultural Insight visit to the DeLorme headquarters to view ‘Eartha’. Measuring more than 12 metres in diameter, and housed in a three-story glass atrium, Eartha is the world’s largest revolving and rotating globe - a 3-dimensional scale model of earth with mountains and landforms that simulates the earth’s movements and shows the world as it appears from space. Next, bag a Boxing Day bargain as you stop at FreeportUSA – a shopping outlet with over 200 outlets and boutiques set in a 19th century village. Continue to the most famous city in New England, Boston, and check-in to your hotel.

DAY 5: Tuesday 27 December 2016 – Boston Sightseeing and Free Time

The city of Boston is awash in history, from the Old North Church – made famous in Longfellow’s poem about Paul Revere’s midnight ride – to the Cambridge campus of Harvard university, the nation’s oldest, founded just a few years after Boston itself. Boston is known as the Cradle of Liberty, but it is also a city of living history. This morning see the highlights of new and old Boston with a Local Specialist – the North End, Paul Revere’s House, the Old North Church, the Bunker Hill Monument, and the Boston Common, as well as Chinatown, trendy Newbury Street and vibrant Copley Plaza. Later, why not join an optional excursion to visit Harvard University and stroll the grounds of the oldest learning institution in the US, opened in 1636, while learning about its prestigious history? Tonight enjoy a Highlight Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 6: Wednesday 28 December 2016 – Boston - Newport Mansion Excursion

Enjoy a truly magical experience today when you visit The Breaker Mansion in Newport. The glitter of gold and the sparkle of silver will dazzle as you tour the magnificent mansion decked out in yuletide finery. Music, tours, and spectacular decorations highlight the celebration of Christmas at the Newport Mansions. The Mansions are National Historic Landmarks and icons of the Gilded Age in America, and are filled with thousands of poinsettias, fresh flowers, evergreens and wreaths. Return to Boston for an afternoon and evening at leisure.

DAY 7: Thursday 29 December 2016 – Boston - Mystic Seaport - New York City (4 nights)

Today bid farewell to Boston as you travel south back to New York City. En-route, stop in the seaside town of Mystic Seaport, a re-created 19th century village, complete with museum educators, musicians and role-players who will teach you about each building’s role in the coastal community. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, interact with folks from 1876 and stroll through the museum’s gardens. This afternoon arrive into New York City with the afternoon and evening yours to explore many of the restaurants and shows this bustling city has to offer.

DAY 8: Friday 30 December 2016 – New York City Sightseeing

Today, enjoy a tour of the city’s highlights with a Local Specialist. Spend a quiet moment as you view the site of the former World Trade Centre and the site of the new Freedom Tower. See the towering Empire State Building, the mirrored peak of the iconic Chrysler Building and grand Central Park, designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. Visit Battery Park from where you can see the Statue of Liberty, a gift from the people of France. This afternoon you have the opportunity to join optional experiences to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum where you can learn about the victims of the events of 2001, and Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Take the opportunity on your free evening to catch a show on Broadway.

DAY 9: Saturday 31 December 2016 – New York City At Leisure & New Year’s Eve

It’s New Year’s Eve in New York! Today take in the festive atmosphere, and why not join an optional experience to the ‘Top of the Rock’? This is one of the must-visit places in New York City - take in sweeping views of the skyscrapers, parks, rivers and urban canyons that make up the teeming isle of Manhattan. Tonight, an evening of celebrations awaits! You’ll enjoy an early dinner including drinks at a local restaurant, and with your included ‘balldrop’ pass you will have access to the heart of the city, where you can celebrate in one of the many venues or join the crowds on the streets to see in the new year.

DAY 10: Sunday 1 January 2017 – New York At Leisure

Enjoy a day at leisure in this fantastic city. Check out the shopping sales, visit the American Museum of Natural History, or just explore the bustling streets, soaking up the atmosphere of one of the world’s greatest cities. Tonight, enjoy a delicious Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant.

DAY 11: Monday 2 January 2017 – Depart New York City

Your journey comes to an end with a complimentary transfer to the airport. Conditions apply.

Booking Deposit & Final Payment: A non refundable deposit of $200 is due within 7 days of booking. Full balance is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. For bookings made within 60 days of departure full payment is due within 48 hours.
Fares: All fares are quoted in Australian Dollars. Fares include transport, entrance fees as per itinerary, plus services of a driver and Travel Director and meals as specified. (This holiday EXCLUDES airfares)
Hotel accommodation includes twin-bedded rooms with private facilities, all hotel service charges, baggage handling fees and local taxes. Single rooms are available on request basis and a single supplement applies.
Cancellation penalties apply:
• For cancellations over 45 days prior to departure date = Loss of deposit
• For cancellations 45 - 22 days prior to departure date = 25% of total price
• For cancellations 21 - 8 days prior to departure date = 30% of total price
• For cancellations 7 - 1 days prior to departure date = 50% of total price
• For cancellations day of departure / no show = 100% of total price

Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend that passengers purchase travel insurance.
Passports & Visas: It is the responsibility of each individual passenger to have a valid passport and necessary visas, as well as to comply with entry, health or other requirements for the counties visited.
Supplements & Reductions:
The supplement for a single room is $3,400 per person, and is subject to availability. A reduction of $515 per person is available for three people sharing a triple room, and a reduction of $630 per person is available for four people sharing a quad room. Triple and quad rooms are subject to availability, are based on existing bedding, and may not be comfortable for three/four adults sharing. A young traveller discount of $1,500 is available for a child aged 12 years or under sharing a triple or quad room with a minimum of two adults. Young traveller discount is limited to one per room.
