      Join us for a special evening on the Ile d’Orleans. Located a few miles east of downtown Quebec in the St. Lawrence River, the “Island of Orleans” was one of the first areas occupied by early French colonists. First, stop at the Montmorency Falls; higher than the Niagara Falls, the impressive Montmorency Falls stand 83 meters (272 feet) tall. The falls form at the mouth of the Montmorency River, where it drops over a cliff into the St. Lawrence River. Then travel through the rolling farmlands to the south side of the island and stop for a dinner at the Moulin St. Laurent Restaurant. Approx. duration: 3 hours.

This evening, head for the woods atop Mont Rigaud and "Sucrerie de la Montagne," an authentic sugar shack officially designated as a Quebec Heritage Site. Upon arrival, meet your host for the evening as you are taken by horse-drawn carriage to the sugar shack. Learn all about maple syrup including the extraction process and production. Try a "wapiti", a typical Quebecois aperitif, while engaging with your host who will regale you with local stories. Next is an authentic Regional Meal feast, served family style as you enjoy live local folk music. Learn to dance traditional Quebecois folk dances and how to play traditional wooden spoons.
