Edinburgh

The city has been the country’s capital since the 15th century. Standing on a series of rocky hills overlooking the sea, it is home to an attractive medieval old town and a stately Georgian new town, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Edinburgh has inspired many writers, from J M Barrie to Robert Louis Stevenson; so much so that it was named UNESCO’s first City of Literature in 2004. Enjoy all the major sights with us, from Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile main street to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament building. All brought to life by our Local Specialists who’ll add their own anecdotes and legends along the way.

Glasgow

Scotland’s largest city offers is no less vibrant than Edinburgh, but with a more earthy personality.  You’ll discover world-famous museums and galleries, lively nightlife, superb shopping and a dynamic arts and music scene. Against a backdrop of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s elegant Art Nouveau buildings.

Highlight of your trip will be a visit to the nearby 180-year-old Glengoyne whisky distillery, which prides itself on being Scotland’s slowest distillery, where it takes six years to create the perfect blend. Not only will you learn how the whisky is made, you’ll be able to distil your very own bottle.

Scottish Highlands

Untouched landscapes, secluded beaches, historic castles and some of the richest wildlife in the UK: the Scottish Highlands’ raw, natural beauty is as captivating as its history.

Every turn will leave you awe-struck, as you take in bluebell woods, heather-clad heathlands, deep valleys and mirror-like lakes. Historic castles perched beside lochs and glens tell stories of a time before, but it’s our team of insiders who truly bring this part of Scotland to life.

Join us for a guided tour of Glamis Castle, former home of the Queen Mother and the setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth. And enjoy an insight into Scotland’s famous export – whisky – while sampling a ‘wee dram’ at a distillery in Pitlochry.

Stunning scenery

Scotland’s scenery rivals some of the best in the world. Stark mountains, glens purple with heather, forests and lochs fill huge expanses of unspoiled countryside.

You’ll visit the Isle of Skye, the majestic peak of Ben Nevis, and no less than three castles - Blair, Eiliean Donan and Stirling - not forgetting the famous Loch Ness and Loch Lomond. And if you fail to spot the Lochness Monster, you’ll have plenty more tales to tell from the family who run a hill farm on the banks of Loch Ard. They’ll welcome you into their barn for traditional Scottish fare, and tell you the story of Rob Roy MacGregor, the 18th century outlaw and folk hero.
