The city of New York has a fast pace of life and never ceases to amaze and enthrall its visitors. Join our Local Specialists, who’ll show you the sights of Manhattan, bringing them to life with their own personal anecdotes and first hand tales of life in the city. Take in the Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square and the Rockefeller Center, as well as the boroughs of ethnically diverse Queens and Brooklyn. And we’ve left free time to shop on Fifth Avenue, see a Broadway show or go for a boat ride in Central Park.
Founded by Puritan colonists from England in 1630, Boston was pivotal in the American Revolution. The city, known as the ‘cradle of liberty’, has a rich history and has long been at the forefront of cultural and intellectual progress in the United States. Join us and we'll show you the cultural sights of Boston including the seaside town of Newport which is home to the palatial Breakers Mansion, summer home of the Vanderbilts. You’ll also have the chance to see the picture-postcard island of Nantucket and North Conway, where can learn about the ecology of the White Mountains. But our trips also pay special attention to New England's excellent food. We’ll take you to try local cheeses at the Cabot Creamery, maple syrup at a farm in Montpelier, fresh apple cider, mead, maple taffy and best of all, Ben & Jerry's ice cream at its birthplace in Vermont.
The Sunshine State encompasses the palm tree-lined, Spanish-speaking Miami which contrasts with the misty Everglades. It’s a paradise for anyone interested in wildlife because here you can see alligators at the Everglades, as well as taking a trip to the Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach. Equally fascinating is NASA's Kennedy Space Center, where you can relive the launch of Apollo 8 on a simulator and eat lunch with a veteran NASA astronaut. But we also want to introduce you to behind-the-scenes Florida. As well as showing you the sights of Miami, we’ll take you to a Cuban restaurant for an evening of warm hospitality, music and dance. Over a glass of sangria, the restaurant’s owner will talk to you about the influence of Cuban cuisine in Miami before you enjoy a meal of traditional Cuban dishes. And in Key West you’ll learn to make key lime pie – and of course, sample the fruits of your labor.
