Land of the Incas

12 Days 1 Country 9 Cities

Discover the treasures of Lima and uncover the archaeological site of Machu Picchu on this Country Explorer trip.

"We love travelling with Trafalgar"

About this trip

Peru's classic Inca sights and cities meet experiences like flightseeing over the ancient Nazca Lines and sailing to Ballestas Islands, known as the mini-Galapagos, home to some unique and elusive wildlife.

It's Insider moments like… listening to an expert archaeologist, whose stories of digs and discoveries conjure images of Indiana Jones and help bring Machu Picchu to life. Like expert Peter Frost, who talks about his 35 years exploring the Andes – and his 1999 discovery featured in National Geographic News. We also stay in luxury at Palacio del Inka, an authentic storied mansion, dating back nearly five centuries, in the centre of Cusco.
