Every year countless schools entrust their educational trips to Trafalgar – our expertise in destinations, combined with staff experienced in leading groups of students means that we can deliver a trip which is both enjoyable and educational. The most popular destinations include:

  • UK and European Battlefields. Visit the world’s city, London, and learn about the history of the Empire and the impact it has had on modern-day Australia, before travelling across into northern Europe to visit important sites from the first and second world wars. Important sights include the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy, the Caen Memorial, the battlefields of Ypres and the Australian museum in Villers-Bretonneux
  • Turkey. Spend time in the fascinating city of Istanbul learning how the modern city was formed through the merging of many different cultures and empires through history. Travel to Gallipoli and feel the emotions as you visit Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair, and the war cemeteries as a Local Specialist explains why the battles during WWI became so important in the modern history of Turkey and Australia/New Zealand
  • USA. Travel around the north-east of the USA for an understanding of the rich history of events which have occurred in the area, and impacted the whole world. Spend time in Washington DC visiting important political sights such as the White House, Arlington Cemetery and the war memorials, and lose yourself for days in the Smithsonian which is the world’s largest museum and research centre. Visit historic cities such as Boston and Gettysburg, and stop in New York City to see the modern world at its peak
  • Italy and Greece. Delve into classical history by exploring the plethora of historic sites in these two fantastic countries. In Italy, visit the colosseum, forum, ruins of Pompeii, renaissance Florence and Venice. In Greece, visit the Acropolis, monasteries of Meteora, the site of the first Olympic games
