The knowledge that the tour Director gave you and the places that you see are excellent.
Travel Director - Excellent. Coach Driver - Excellent. Some of the specialists was not so good. Went to fast and lost the group. Delphi can be cut out and spend more time in Athens before you go on the cruise. Nothing wrong with the coach but a more luxuries coach will be better for this long tour. Some of the hotels were better than others but still ok. The ferry was a disaster. Wait a long time. Staff not friendly and food not good. Smoke inside the ferry. Overall a good tour. Will regiment Trafalgar to other people.
Well planned and organized . not having to wait in queues especially on very hot days .Also the Travel director was very up to date with all the local knowledge ,the bus driver was great, and very experienced.the only other thing perhaps more knowledge of how people live in certain areas. This was our fourth trip with Trafalger and still enjoyed the experience .
We enjoyed the itinerary. The cities we visited were amazing and provided an informed glimpse into Europe. We especially enjoyed the having meals with host families tasting their delicious produce.
Our tour director was knowledgeable and helpful to all on the tour. The driver was courteous and skilful. The coach was comfortable and cleanly maintained.
This trip was good but there is a huge amount of time spent on the bus . For example it says two days in Paris. But you get there late in the afternoon then the next day there is a local guide and that was poor . Then you get the rest of that day
Itinerary appeared to backtrack - we felt we went up and down, back close to where we had been. And whilst we chose this ‘long’ tour we felt it was too long, being so busy & regimented - up early, bags out, breakfast, on the bus - 4 hour bus drive, then a walk, then an event in the evening....and many are ‘optional EXTRAS - more cost! Also - tour director and bus driver EXPECT gratuities - suggested ? @ $x per day? (Don’t they get paid?) Like it’s not a ‘tip’ where you might give $10 as a bonus thank you for a good job - they ASK for it! 😮🥴🤭☹️. Not good!
We were on a 29 day ‘supreme’ tour. 16 countries. The tour director was very efficient. Her communication was excellent- her knowledge of historical events was impressive and she shared that extremely well. She organised us all very well. However we felt the standard of the amenities in many of the hotels was poor considering it being called a ‘supreme’ tour and/ or having a ‘superior’room. At our last 2 hotels, which were reasonably plush, their breakfasts were very poor compared to earlier stops. Our expectations would be minimum - tea coffee making available, and say a small fridge.
