A great mix of guided tours and free time to explore. Trafalga has established so many partnerships with the best resources in Italy. Our tour director Federica took care of all details and kept things fun and exciting. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this trip was! We would use Trafalga again in a heartbeat.
The tour was wonderful, if this is your firs trip to Italy and want to hit all of the major sites, this tour is great. The pace is exhausting at times but worth it. Our tour guide was Federica, very animated, gave lots of practical advice. The local guides were also fantastic.
I have travelled with Trafalgar twice. One was the the Great Britain and Ireland delight tour in 2017 and the recent Italian tour in December 2019. The tour to Italy was awesome and I enjoyed the trip very much. The tour director Giacomo was excellent and caring and so was the coach driver Fabio. The optionals was very good and worth the money except for the gondola optional In Venice which was not worth And waste of money as we did not travel along the canal but instead was taken through the backwaters of the buildings where we got the sewage smell which was not pleasant and the duration was very short.
Giacomo and Fabio were excellent, especially Giacomo. He goes out of the way to answer our questions, give us good recommendations. The hotels are generally well located. The farewell dinner was a disappointment though. We expected a lot more in terms of the food choices and the space, but it was very limited. The food taste was also not outstanding. In fact the food served on the 1st night at the Bellini hotel when we arrived was much better.
Travel to Europe often requires an overnight flight. Please arrange flights to arrive on or before Day 1.
Drinking Water: Tap water is safe to drink in all of the destinations on this trip. Please remember to bring a water bottle.
