Cairns, Barrier Reef and Rain Forest
Couldn’t go five stars. Too much too quickly. We had to leave Cairns on 6:00 am flight so up at 3. Got to Ayers Rock. Chaotic lobby of Desert Sails at 10 am with folks leaving and arriving. Got to room about 1. Luggage sent to a different room Went on excursion at 4. Got back and ate and went to bed. Cancelled going on early morning excursion-would’ve had to get up at four. Had to leave for airport at 11 am. Wish we had stayed an extra two or three days. Just too much to do and real short intervals between excursions and check out. Ayers Rock was beautiful and mystical. Two numbnuts decided to leave group and hike around rock and tour had to make special trips to find them. Interpretive guide was excellent. Food and wine were good
Read allMet at airport by shuttle. Hotel was excellent and very convenient to wharf. Barrier Reef trip was on time, food was good, and ships cruise kept excellent attention on snorkelers in water. Not Trafalgar fault that seas were very rough and visibility was limited. Equipment was in good shape. Next day trip to rain forest was good. Speakers did good job at cultural village and we threw the boomerang and the spear with the throwing stick. Sky rail over rain forest was beautiful and liked the stops Narrow gauge railroad back was fun, informative, and a good way to unwind. Prompt shuttle service at all times.

Sydney, BLue Mountains & Uluru (Ayers Rock)....
For barely a 24-hour stay (our choice) this Trafalgar "Mini-Stay" experience was packed with the activities of a guided hike at Uluru, the sunset and sunrise watching events. A real interesting and informative immersion into the Aboriginal culture. Our overnight lodging at the "Sails In THe Desert" was refreshing and comfortable!
Read allThis is the first time we ever used Trafalgar and used two of the "Mini-Stay" tours while in Australia. We were very impressed with the organization, attention to the details and service provided by the local tour operator, AAT Kings.

The itinerary here was excellent. Continue to warn people about the flies and the need for a net.
Read allOur tour director Delma and our driver Ben both gave us excellent service throughout the tour. Delma checked on our resort in Fiji for us to see if it was okay after the cyclone.

Uluru visit
This was a real whirlwind of a trip. We are really glad we did it, but it required stamina to keep up with the itinerary. We probably would have purchased an additional day in Uluru if it had been offered. The stay at Sails in the Desert was first-rate.
Read allAfter a slow start, AAT Kings turned out to be a good group to work with.
