Coach travel has been proven to have substantial environmental benefits, including reducing congestion and causing less pollution per passenger kilometre than any other transportation option. Coaches have been proven to emit fewer greenhouse gases on a per passenger basis than either train or car travel.* Trafalgar's coach fleet is among the best in Europe and complies with EU emissions standards either V or VI, which are the most efficient engines currently available.
The Travel Corporation participates in Smart Move, an industry initiative promoting the enhanced use of coaches worldwide to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 50 million tonnes per year.
