We were unable to visit the "crown jewel" of the trip (ie, Yellowstone) due to weather issues. Needless to say, that had a major impact on my assessment of the "purchase" as I would say that Yellowstone was probably 40% of the value of the trip. I was also surprised that the published itinerary was erroneous in that the Black Hills PowWow was actually on Sat night, not Sunday night. Fortunately, the Travel Director recognized that mistake and we were able to get to the PowWow.
Travel Director was unbelievably knowledgeable and highly effective in sharing that information with the travelers. He also demonstrated great patience and flexibility in dealing with unanticipated travel obstacles (ie, bad weather). The Coach Driver was superb! He demonstrated patience and good judgement and always had our safety as his foremost concern.
The pow wow was very stirring. I would suggest that travelers be informed ahead of time about what to expect & what the meaning was behind the dances & costumes.
