Great Barrier Reef Day 2 - Great Barrier ReefYou can see it from the moon, but that doesn't mean you have to jet into outer space for an engaging encounter with the largest living structure on earth. Slice through the azure waters of the Coral Sea on board a high-speed catamaran to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef and to an astounding wonderland 'Downunder'. Schools of Angelfish, Gobies and Parrotfish weave in and out of the luminous orange, purple, yellow and pink underwater coral forest, sharing their marine habitat with sea snakes, turtles, and the odd shark. You won't even need to get your feet wet to witness the utopia beneath the ocean surface, observing the diversity of this living wall that spans over 2,000km along Australia's Queensland Coast. Sit back in a semi-submersible craft and admire the tranquil depths of the reef from your underwater observatory. If you so choose, you will have an opportunity to go snorkelling and view the myriad of marine species up-close (equipment provided). Before embarking on your journey back to Cairns, enjoy a tropical buffet lunch with the knowledge that there's a whole other world swimming below.
