Everything we would have wanted was included and more!!
The variety on this tour was amazing, from the Isle of Capri in the south to the Dolomites and lakes in the north. Our last night in Rome......dinner in the Vatican and a special tour through the Sistine Chapel.
Trafalgar thought of so many "extra things" that enhanced our travel experience. Everything ran like clockwork, but not in a regimented way....Everything seemed to work seamlessly. I am sure we had the best Tour Director ever in Romeo and the very best driver in Vincenzo. (sorry about the spelling)
I understood the need for less than 5 star hotels to cut cost and was OK with that for the most part. Some of them were a little...old. The itinerary was great! It's such a shame that we missed Genoa due to flooding, but I can understand the safety concerns so I thank Trafalgar for erring on the side of caution.
They did their best with a difficult situation. I had a twin share that wanted to split from me and we both ended up paying more, but they handled it as well as they could under the circumstances. The thing that was difficult was that there was not much recognition that my arthritis meant I would have great difficulty stepping over the wall of a bath tub. I asked for shower only bathrooms, and got that about 3/4 of the time. More attention needed to be paid to the fact that that was a NEED, not just a request.
