Office initiatives

Find out how some of our offices have been helping their local environments.

  • Team Australia

In 2014 employees from the Australian offices hosted Ronald McDonald House Dinner nights – hosting, cooking & serving a 3 course meal for House residents and their families. Ronald McDonald Houses are attached to major women or children’s hospitals and provide a ‘home-away-from-home’ for seriously ill children and their families. They also volunteered with Mission Australia Christmas in the Park – NHH organised a Christmas lunch in the office to collect gifts and donations and then we provided volunteers over a 3-day period to help wrap the gifts Mission Australia had collected for the Christmas in the Park event on Christmas day in Wellington Square.

  • Team New Zealand

In 2014 they committed over 200 hours to volunteer at beach clean ups and tree planting with Sustainable Coastlines.

  • Team UK

Through 2014 the employees at Grosvenor Place racked up an impressive 700 hours towards volunteer activities at: - The Passage Homeless Charity - Daffodil Appeal - The Thames River Cleanup - West Highland Way (charity walk) - Hands on London (gardening) - White Chapel Mission (10k run for the homeless)

  • Team USA

In 2014 they committed over 400 hours to volunteer activities for projects at Yosemite, USS Iowa Project and other non-company projects. Read more here.

  • Team South Africa

The South African Team has kicked off the new volunteer year with installing a Veggi garden in a township.

  • Team Geneva

Throughout 2014 and 2015 team Geneva has been very active in multiple green and social initiatives. For Earth Day they took part in a ‘Clean Walk’ around the block to clean up the community. The Geneva office collected eight 50L bags of rubbish in just 30 Minutes. In the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal, the team raised money through a baking sale in the office building and sending the collected funds to Swiss Solidarity. As the latest initiative, some brave souls have committed to biking to work in the month of June to support a healthy and active lifestyle, whilst cutting down on their carbon footprint.

  • Team Canada

In 2014 close to 200 hours were spent volunteering at school charity events. The Toronto office houses a Community Garden that its employees take great pride in tending to and maintaining themselves. They even collect and compost food waste to use as fertilizer for the garden.

  • Team Singapore

In 2014 the Singapore Team put in extensive efforts to have a positive impact on their community through participating in Waterway Cleanups, Green Homes projects, Reduce & Recycle projects and Healthy Lifestyle projects.
